Solved voltage spike from EP Ever solar charge controllers...
I have an Aims 3k inverter charger and had EP Ever solar charge controllers. The EP Ever's would send a voltage spike to the inverter when the solar charge controllers finished the charge cycle which put the Aims inverter into a perm fault, requiring the inverter to be power cycled. The new Victron charge controller doesn't do the voltage spike anymore.Anyone want three EP Ever 40 amp solar charge controllers?

Great device that does exactly what it says it will.
I have 8 100watt panels and a 10ga wire preinstalled in my RV. This device was exactly what I needed to tie four parallel panels into a series loop that provides up to 150 volts at 8 amps. It communicates with my Cerbo GX and is now part of my entire solar solution. Looking forward to what Victron has to offer next!

Good value for money and reliable.
Victron chargers are quality products. I have half a dozen of various sizes running off grid sites throughout the valley and they all just work. The Bluetooth makes checking their statuses very easy.

The best MPPT ever
Great product, good quality materials.Powerful algorithm to get your batteries to full chargeit really takes care of your Batteries life span.it get very warm thou, so if you are putting it into a cabinet, you need a cooling system and lots of ventilation.

you can and should use 2 awg for batt conn
without really combing through the docs it's not super clear how fat your copper can be that you connect to your Tr terminals with these. with the Pv in you're usually good with something like 8awg if you're pushing 50+ volts of solar, the smaller wires are fine in that case because you're moving juice with voltage and less so with current. However, once you're dumping, say, ~2000 watts worth of 24v current to your batteries - YOU CAN AND SHOULD USE 2 AWG TO BATTERIES. 48v may be okay but if your system is under 36v don't even play with it, size as high as possible out the gate.... and yes I'm writing this because after about 1.5 years of ownership i have nearly melted a few things arriving at this conclusion.with all that said it's notable that this unit will detect an overheating connection at it's own terminals and shut off the output.above all, as per usual: just RTFM; READ THE MANUAL.

FAR from user friendly
Firstly I resent having to buy accessories to be able to connect to this device with my laptop and set it up despite the fact this big blue trash can has bluetooth. Now this beauty has stopped pairing with my phone and I have to try to dig up the stupid dongle to reconnect. Also, I hate the fact that you are forced to have multiple bluetooth signals (inverter and solar controller) blasting you with bluetooth signal 24 hours a day. You can't turn it off that I know of since they never give you a manual screen to monitor. Also, don't even think about buying their products on amazon because the company provides NO support. You're apparently supposed to go to the "dealer" for that. F Victron.

Good product
Easy to use and set up. I wish it had wifi instead of Bluetooth. Use the sight to find the correct one for your solar system.

As described product
I used for Brinkly RV. Easy to hook up. You must hook up battery before the panels. I stumbled over that, not easy to find. Remember to check for setting for battery type. I used the Bluetooth interface on my phone to do that. I do like that interface and the data provided by it also. This was perfect for my new 410 w Q Cell panels and 400aH LiFePo4's.
