Melitta M4 Cone Coffee Filters Natural, 100 Count, Brown

Coffee is really important to me - I like it bold - and with darker coffee, the flavor can get bitter.This filter does a good job of removing the bitterness while letting the boldness of my coffee come through. I've tried generic coffee filters and the coffee just doesn't taste as robust. The thicker paper traps impurities - I like that.Created an amateur video to help show the difference between the Melitta M4 Cone Coffee Filters and a more generic brand that is also brown. Hope it helps to show the actually difference between filters, such as the double seam and microfine perforations on the Melitta M4 Cone Coffee Filters versus a singe seam and just plain paper on the generic brand.One note is "natural brown" is a trademark and this filter is not natural brown - it is 100% bleach and chlorine free and the Melitta M4 Cone Coffee Filters are fully compostable (I throw the whole thing in my compost bin).One trick for better coffee is to pre wet the filter with a little hot water before putting the grinds in the filter. I find this reduces the "dishwater" that first comes forth when you turn on the coffee maker and it starts dripping.I opted for the subscription as that's the best deal as compared to local store prices.

I have been using these filters for a bout 5 years. I can't stand the bleach taste given off by the white (bleached) filters. These are the only filters i will ever use now. I saw a review where someone had mentioned the bottom broke through causing grounds to go into their pot. LOL, follow the use instructions and this will NOT happen! The bottom and one side needs to be folded over prior to placing into the basket/holder. This provides the proper reinforcement needed to prevent a blow-through. If you have not used these beige colored (unbleached) filters, I highly recommend them!

I have tried some cheaper, bleached coffee filters but I keep returning to the Melitta natural filters. The others splits as you take them out of the coffee machine and end up on the floor or counter. These are strong and I have never had one split open and spill.The benefits of using these also outweigh the risks bleached ones have such as : chlorine, chemical additives, non natural ingredients and compostable.The coffee brews and flows through the paper easily and leaves no bitter tasted.They are a safer healthier choice for consumers who are health conscience

Been using these for decades, they never disappoint. Other filters have overflowed or torn when removing. Not these!

I have used these coffee filters for years. I like the fact that they are unbleached without harmful chemicals. They have reinforced seams to prevent bursting.

These are reliable and sturdy. The definitely wouldn't let you down there. However, I've learned the hard way using non-bleached filters to first rinse the filter with water prior to setting. Still a very good product.

I love these filters!! They make my coffee taste so good. Fits in coffee basket perfect.
