Sometimes the seeds are exposed to cold or heat and many are dead on arrival. These came in a outer package that had inside packages grouped by Colors. There were quite a lot of seeds in here so I took three or four from each color packet, Put it in a plant basket and put it in my water feature in my backyard. No, I live in Florida, which helps a lot because I believe the temperature range for these seeds are between 68° and 86°. Within a few days of the seeds soaking in germinating, I was surprised to see that every seed not one dead seed) had sprouted. A few days later there may be a half an inch high And so far I've had them in the water about two weeks and they've come through the surface of the water and are growing quite rapidly.I'd say the company behind these seeds cares at what they do and those what they're doing when it comes to curating and shipping seeds. After seeing how quickly they grew, I took the rest of the seeds, put them in another aqua planter and put them in my water feature. They too have started to grow. I also picked up some lotus food tablets and put one in each basket. My plants seem very, very happy. I will definitely order from this company again. I can't wait for the flowers to bloom. This is pretty simple stuff and their step-by-step instructions, which are not complicated or long at all. If you want to beautify your garden or water feature, I would definitely look at this. If you have a pond or water feature with fish, I would definitely put these in a basket because Fish will definitely eat the leaves and the roots and kill this or any other plant. Can't wait for them to fully bloom!

Just takes time and patience
I read several negative reviews and was unsure about buying them. I am so glad I did. All but 12 seeds produced stems. It may just be how they are being planted. I found that if you keep them fully submerged in water until you see sprouts, it works. A suggestion was to file them down, but that did not change. They did better without the filing. Make sure you plant them in lily soil when they open and produce a sprout. Keep them covered in water until you have leaves. It just takes some time and patience, and I love mine now.

Try your fishtank
I put some in mason jars and changed the water 3-4 times a day with tap water ( in Utah so the water is hard) and some did sprout like the directions said but it was very intensive for a working person and they didn’t look very happy- just barely living-. I put some in my nursery section of my fish tank (look up father fish on YouTube to better understand living water- basically you make a pond in your aquarium ) and some in my fish tank and they started germinating much faster and have been going gangbusters. My fish did eat some of them so I took some of my fishtank water into a deep bowl and added another bubbler and put more seeds and sprouts into that. And added a snail. They are very happy in this environment. I think the bubbler in healthy pond water especially helped them.

Quality seeds
Its amusing how fast these seeds germinates, spurts were visible in a couple of days as I have them by my kitchen window where they receive direct sunlight daily plusi changethe water regularly. Its a shocker how i got the best quality seeds I was hoping to get,I now look forward to seeing all these beautiful flowers blooming in my home. The does and don't when working with these seeds are easy as you can do your own research on YouTube or even the web and follow whichever instruction is more understandable/attainable to do. I'm just a happy customer knowing that all my seeds are growing healthy, smile. Great value and quality seeds

Some not open and growing
Some seeds were not cut so I manually had to cut open once they were soft, but they didn’t grow at the same ratio. There are 8 colors and used 8 seeds of each color. From the 64 seeds there were 18 not developing which are the ones I had to manually cut. Seeds started to grow after one week and it’s nice to see them growing.I’m growing impatient at this time. It’s been a month and have seen no roots growing impatient. I purchased soil special for water and planted them per the instructions but the water stared to smell like water from the drain. I had to take them out and rinsed them completely. They are just in clean water and I don’t know what else to do. I kept very few in soil just to compare growth. I have so far only and fully developed leaf.

High germination rate. Colors bagged separately.
Each color had their own bag with color marked.I started these in large plastic drink cups outside in plastic tubs with lids in Feb , North Texas 8b.Germination rate was excellent. I only had 4 duds that did not germinate within a week and after a month I tossed them out into my farm pond .It was about 2 weeks before I had small leaves in each cup.I used individual cups because the first time that I tried growing seeds I put each color all in one bowl . The stems and roots ended up becoming a big tangled ball that could not be separated . Learning from my first try by using the individual cups has worked out great. I changed the water once a day for about 2 weeks. I started putting a few drops of hydrogen peroxide in each cup at water change once a week to help keep the water cleaner looking longer.I plan on potting these up once the cup is no longer big enough. At that stage , these are going out into my pond and watergarden .Directions say that First year is spent growing leaves with a tuber .NO flowers until second year is normal.I am very happy with this purchase .
