The display is great, it's very bright and the "pixels" are much more evenly lit than some of the displays that cost 2-3x as much.Unfortunately the app is kind of useless for finding new art but luckily you can use the Divoom app to search and then manually load the files in the idotmatrix app.

I got this for my Preschool. The kids love telling time and as a bonus, I play animations for them when they’ve done a great job listening. So cool and great quality!

I assumed because it has “scheduling” functionality that it would be able to turn off and on at the same time every day, but this doesn’t seem to be true. I suppose somebody might use whatever the schedule functionality is, but it doesn’t do anything I care about.I also assumed that because it can react to voice and music that it would be able to do this on its own, but it requires you to link to a phone and then rely on the microphone of that device. This screen does not have a built-in microphone.While there is a gallery of animations to download and use, it is not searchable. Want something glitchy or psychedelic or a cat or whatever? Be prepared to do a lot of slow scrolling. Or take the time to design it yourself.Another annoyance: this is Bluetooth only. Not Wi-Fi. So if you connect to something else via Bluetooth from your phone you will lose connection to the screen and you have to manually reconnect to the screen every time you want to control it from your phone.There is nothing inherently wrong with this device but those are the limitations bothering me at the moment.Having to manually turn it off or on either from the device itself or from a phone is pet peeve #1. … I would like it to go dark every night and turn itself back on every morning.But the screen looks pretty good and the price is right.The company would do well to engage with somebody to help them with UI/UX and translation in the app.

My daughters are 10 years old twins and both great artists. They love to sketch , and create digital art. This is a cool , fun way for them to bring life to their simple doodles and also try something new and different ! It’s so cool they can create the art on their phone and have it display on the board. Even cooler it can be an alarm clock. This is a really cool device to have and would make a great gift. I’m so glad I found this.

The display is pretty good, albeit with slightly limited color selection. The app is alright, although a bit annoying to navigate at times. Beyond a doodle display, this can actually function as an alarm clock which I thought was nice. It adds a layer of multifunctionality!
