Worked for my old 98 boxster 986 real well
This was really useful and incredibly helpful.I bought this for my boxster 986 (98) to see if it could show me some info. Ohhh boy did it.It showed so much more than i thought it would and more importantly did what it said on the tin. Able to find fault codes and clear accordingly once fixed. And if left on while having a drive it records everything. Maf sensors, o2 sensors, speed bla bla bla.To put into context, its hard to find a cheaper unit for older cars yet my brother turned up with this 1k bit of kit from his work..... Yep wouldnt work on my boxster. Is it as good as these really expensive ones? Probably not, did it do everything i wanted ? More than.I used the "car scanner" app, again it showed me codes. Cleared them codes and gave me a ton more information which was helpful to see how the car was running while driving.I used android so cant talk for apple but it worked for me.

Avoid!!
Beware this product all claims 96% compatibility as total garbage. It does not work with any electric vehicles. It does not work with any hybrid vehicles. I bought this for my BMW 330e and it is of absolutely no use.Nowhere in the description on Amazon does it state this! However as you will find if you mistakenly buy this, it does say so on the side of the box!

Not easy to connect. Seems to prefer Android to IOS
It took some time to get it to work. I had no luck with IOS so luckily I had an Android Tablet with Bluetooth but it still needed quite a bit of persuasion. It eventually worked and seemed to perform well although my experience with this technology is limited. It did read the codes and I was able to turn them off, but of course that doesn't mean the problem is solved. I tried again the following day to see if it found the Tablet any quicker than previous and it connected straight away. For the price it does what it says but it is after all not a professional tool.

Easy to use
Just worked perfectly. App was from Google Play Store, asked for no personal details and worked first time. Was able to read the error code, see the name and clear the error. 6/5 stars 😁

Not 100% compatible with Alfa Romeo Giulietta 2011
not 100% compatible with Alfa Romeo Giulietta 2011 throws up more faults as if it had disconnected the battery, but allows reading of faults and clearing.

Connected to my iPhone straight away - no problems.
Worked straight out of the box. I was a bit dubious at first as I have an iPhone which I wanted to connect to it. The instructions stipulated that I should not connect via Bluetooth but I had Bluetooth on by default and it connected with no problems at all. Very pleased with my new purchase.

Doesn’t work on iPhone.
The media could not be loaded. I followed all the manufacturers directions for iOS usage. The product simply didn’t work. I used the app the manufacturer suggested (Faslink X) along with a few other obd2 based apps. None could find the Bluetooth reader. The Faslink app said it had connected, although no data was being sent/received. You can see on the video that there is power to the device, but both the Bluetooth light and OBD light never lit up (except when first plugged in and only for a split second -shows they should work).Maybe it was a singular issue but first impression isn’t good for an item which wasn’t the cheapest on the market -infact it was suppose to be an “new” version which cost a little more.
