Solid construction. An issue with "other" badge holders is that the spin wheel is weak and breaks easily due to the metal braided wire being too heavy. However THIS badge holder has a very strong spin wheel!! The belt clip is also strong. I don't get the feeling that this is going to give out anytime soon. It should be noted that if you are fragile/weak in hand strength, you might not like this one so much. It's not hard to pull by any means, but it's also not like pulling thread over ice. It needs to have the resistance that it has though, or else it would break due to the metal wire.Should I go through these two, I will most likely be buying another set. These are very nice.

These are pretty sturdy and heavy. I need quick access to my badge at work, and these are a great replacement for the cheap one I had. It even has a key ring in case you need it for locker keys.

Strong and durable. It has been tugged on and thrown across the room and still works nicely.I like that the badge connector is reinforced.The clips are both strong. I have no complaints about this product.

It came in a 2 pack so I figured it’d break pretty quick. It initially felt cheaply made but it’s held up great for a couple of months now, and I have several keys on it and have to extend it a dozen times a day or more. It’s still snappy and works like new. The only reason I don’t give it five stars is because the little plastic snap piece that attaches an ID badge is hooked to it in a way that it has to be cut off if you don’t plan to use it.

The product is good. But one of the two keychains they sent me was clearly a return from another customer. It was broken and heavily used, as you can see if you look closely on the picture. The other one works fine and I am using it. I called Amazon customer service and spoke with Yana. She was very helpful and they provided a "returnless" replacement, meaning I was not required to go through the trouble of returning the defective item.

I love this as I use a retractable for my keys at work and the other ones I really enjoy as they are characters and such but they don’t make it a whole year. THIS one I am excited as it is a metal cord. It should last at least a year if not more..

The carabiner portion almost locks onto my belt loop, and the line appears reasonable durable. I am gentle with it - never yanking my key up and also never dropping it back down.I gently bring my key to the lock, and gently ease the key back to the line source. I am not in a hurry so I can take a few seconds to be gentle, especially since it seems it should last longer this way.

I got tired of the light duty badge retractors at work. They kept breaking. This item is almost strong enough to repel with. Not quite, but it would probably hold a human for a little while. My single complaint is one of them got jammed and does not pull out. I still have the other and its has already run longer than the cheap ones they hand out at the office. Its not perfect, but I would buy it again.
