Yo this desk is the bomb.com. I wrote my entire dissertation without a desk, and now I have this desk and I don't know how I ever got work done because my productivity has blown through the roof since getting this desk. Like legit I worked 9am-11pm last Friday. ON A FRIDAY. BECAUSE I WANTED TO. This desk is everything you ever wanted or needed, all in one.The workspace is pretty massive, so there's room for my laptop, a mouse, a keyboard if I wanted, and I still have room leftover for two cups of tea, a bunch of papers, and my water, and probably at least one very large cat, maybe two (see photo). The top shelf is perfect for your plant collection (can we talk about all my plans to put trail-y ivy/pothos through the metal bits once they grow out?!? It's gonna be rad). The middle top shelf is surprisingly large, you could definitely fit a load of crap on there but I'm using it for my Alexa and like...hand cream and clementines. Because this desk has so much storage space I've run out of things to store.The drawers are a bit stiff, but I think that'll ease with time, and it's also good because it means they don't just slide open by themselves. The little area on top of the drawers is really useful for storing more papers/notebooks/printer paper. The bottom left shelf is nice 'cause you can pile random stuff in the back and put books/folders upright in the front. (Or, you know, you could put your desktop there because that's what this cubby hole was made for, but anyway.) Did you notice there's even a shelf in the middle?!?! SO MUCH STORAGE SPACE. (though to be fair that shelf does knock into my shins a bit if I'm sitting all the way in).The desk is a nice height, and the opening is wide enough to fit this chair (the vinsetto one), and the armrests fit underneath too! Added bonus.Seriously guys, this desk has so much space, I don't even need a bookshelf. Or a closet. Or anything. I could fit my entire life in this desk. I just might try it. I want to spend my entire life at this desk.The company that sends it had pretty good customer service (responded within one day, were kind, fixed a problem with another item I bought from them). The shipping company they use, on the other hand (Yodel) is a bit crap. The box for the desk arrived so banged up that the entire bottom had to be drowned in packing tape to stay intact. That said, the desk itself was fine, and based on the amazon company's good service, I don't doubt they would've sent a replacement were the desk damaged. It also arrived early, so even if it had needed a replacement, I think I would've had the whole desk by the estimated shipping date anyway lol.It was pretty easy to assemble, though definitely a big task. Took me about...4 hours by myself? Each piece came labeled with a letter, and all the screws came in separate labelled bags, which was an unexpected and welcome surprise. I did initially install the drawer runners upside down the first time (sigh), so just be careful you're paying good attention to the manual. The drawings can be a bit small, but they make sense once you start putting stuff together. The whole thing did come missing one of the screws for one of the drawer handles, but my partner had a spare sitting around at work so it was no problem (and again, I have good faith in the company based on their handling of my other item, so I'm sure if I'd needed they would've shipped it out right quick).All in all, you should absolutely get this desk. It's aethetic, it's sturdy, it has so much working space AND storage space. And it's aesthetic!!? It's just made me such a happier person. To the point where I've written this entire massive essay-length review to show you how happy I am with it. I swear I haven't been paid to write this review, I am just honestly so. hyped. about this desk. It has changed my life, it will change yours.P.S. Idk why amazon wanted me to rate it on Sheerness? What is this, a shirt??? Am I missing an alternate definition for the word sheer? Currently rethinking my English ability...

First off, this is fantastic value for money, I bought this desk for my 11 year old daughters first pc, she has yet to see it but I know she'll love it. A small screwdriver is included but as with any flat pack build an electric screwdriver will be a life saver.The desk arrives flat packed in two boxes. Now i've build a bunch of flat pack furniture over the years from desks to bookcases, from Argos and Ikea etc. I've NEVER had a build this painless. All parts and screws are clearly numbered with easy to follow instructions, screws being in numbered bags and the included half height screwdriver for those difficult to reach screws were particularly helpful.A common problem with flat pack drawers is that over time parts can become loose which results in the bottom of the drawer falling out, I can tell that won't be an issue here as the drawer walls screw together very securely.Every screw hole lined up perfectly, no mis-allignments at all, the screws are all high quality so there was no screws stripping or breaking (i'm looking at you Argos) - I built this myself with a little help for the final joining of parts, it took just shy of 3 hours taking my time while listening to music.Now that it's built, it has plenty of desk space, plenty of storage in both drawers and shelving and a safe, enclosed space off the floor for the pc to sit. Open back means cable management will be easy, the lower back shelf is ideal to attach the extension lead. Fantastic, absolutely fantastic.I can't recommend this desk enough, if you're looking at this please don't hesitate!

The desk is a very sturdy desk and looks really good.You will see from other reviews that it's tricky to build and some people reported holes in the wrong places and screws the wrong size.This was not the case for us when we built it, everything does have holes correctly drilled and all of the fittings are correct.However, there are some details on the parts that are not obvious from the instructions which although accurate could do with a little added clarity (they are not quite up to the IKEA standard).For example, the desk is mostly bolted together and there are three different lengths of bolts, one is obviously longer than the other two but there's not much difference in length between these two. Although the shortest screws can be used in place of the middle sized screws, the middle ones won't fit in place of the shortest ones which can lead to a little rebuilding when you realise.Also there are two similar types of metal pillar fixings (the ones that lock into half turn lock fixtures commonly used in flat pack furniture). One has a screw thread for screwing into the wood, the other has a finer thread for screwing into plastic inserts in the desk top. It's easy to get them mixed up!And finally, with the metal base that fits under the drawer section, the side pieces have a front and a back. However the only way to spot this is from the distance between the holes drilled in the metal and the edges of the metal. It's easy to assemble this party of the desk so that it won't line up with the holes in the wood on one side. The solution is to unbolt the frame and turn one of the side panels around.Despite all this, the desk does eventually assemble with only a cross head screwdriver; you don't need to re-drill it or anything like that.The end result, after a bit of patience, is a truly excellent desk!
