Fun and Useful!
I had a great experience with this book. As someone who is not an artist at all, and would usually be miserable drawing, I was pleasantly surprised at how much fun it was to spend some time doing the drawings in the book! The step-by-step process for each drawing made it very easy for me to understand and follow along. The variety of drawing subjects available was also quite impressive. There were beginner through advanced options. Plus, it provided enough content that people could even use it as a jumping off point for designing cards or other projects.I found myself learning a lot about technique and shading as I went through the different topics in the book. It gave me enough skill building exercises that I felt my skills increasing with each page I completed. There was a useful section that gave you a tutorial on the types of lines and shapes you would need to use.The book offers good value for money and is worth every penny spent on it. I would highly recommend this book as a fun way to draw and express your creativity, or even as a classroom tool to facilitate projects or brain breaks. With some practice, this book can be used functionally due to its thoroughness and breadth of content. Overall, I am incredibly pleased with my purchase.

Five minutes. No kidding. These cute four to five step examples allow you follow along and draw a complete pictures in minutes. Presented in small strips, six or so to a page you can draw Oven mitts and kitchen appliances, animals, plants, everyday objects, and doodles of your own. A fun and easy way to start drawing. Nothing required but a pencil and piece of paper (okay, probably an eraser, too).

Easily translated skills into other projects!
I have been trying to teach myself drawing through work books similar to this one for years with little to no progress. I always felt like there was a missing step preventing everything from coming together. This book makes every step very clear and shows how to connect the various steps by showing previously done lines in a lighter shade. The drawings may seem simple, but they are professional and have impressive dimensions. I was so surprised to see that level of depth showing up in my drawings when it has been so difficult before!Because the steps are so clear, it makes it easy to adjust the angles and sizes to suit completing an entire unique image. Each of the drawings in the book are building foundations which can be combined effortlessly to draw whatever your vision is. I especially love the sections with plant life, flowers, and mushrooms and started going through that section of sketches until I felt more comfortable with the motions. Once I tried each of the flora sketches as they are shown in the book, I played around with sizing, direction, and perspectives. From there it was easy to flesh out an entire garden or forest scene. The drawings are bold enough that I am also going to translate them to patterns for my cross stitching projects. I already have a number of ideas jotted down and waiting. The amount of content and subject variety in this book leave it open for near endless options. It gives you all the foundational skills to make each sketch your own.
