It does what it says!
Simple product at a good price point, it kills carpet moths and carpet beetles super quickly and is very effective. As for protection I haven't got to experience it over a long enough period, however I can say carpet moths have been coming out of their hiding spots after using the spray to the carpets. The main benefit to this spray is the protection side of spraying it on your carpets and furniture, using it to kill one singular carpet beetle or moth is a bit over the top as they die from a good smack anyways!

Good against Moths but unsure about Carpet Beetle
We moved into a new House and the Tenants before were really not caring as it seems. There was a moth plague. I used this Spray together with the RENTOKILL Powder and it worked out. They came never back. Now 4 years later we seem to have Carpet Beetle 🤦🏻♀️Much more aggressive and those can actually fly and they spread much faster. So at the moment we bought about 9 cans for a room with Carpet, stairs with carpet and curtains in each room. The tins are tiny and expensive and - yes, it seems that some died but there are still so many.I don’t know if this is such as effective as like with the moth’s.The Powder we bought is this one:Rentokil PSC50 carpet moth and beetle killer powderThe spray is good because it enters everywhere and so does the powder, it does go really inside the carpet where the Spray does not reach, but the Spray reach side where you can’t with the Powder (cause to narrow, under the bed etc).So for us it was good to use both.Open the window!Put a mask on 😷 The smell gave me headaches the first day.We put our Pet in a separate room for the first days and didn’t let him out. The liquid, ones it touches the surface, takes a (long) while until it dries. Will tell later if it worked with the carpet Beetle 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

STINKS YOUR HOUSE OUT BIG TIME
Honestly this stuff has a really strong smell, we even had the door closed and could smell it in the other room which also had the door closed.I’m in 2 minds if it actually works or not as your supposed to repeat process over a few days and more because of eggs or ones you’ve missed say but after using it twice it was like BOO This I’ll try another method as the smell was so strong.I’m not knocking the product itself as may work, but with pets and children in the house it was a no go situation really.I ended up using a natural product in the end with no scent whatsoever which eventually got rid of the little squatters thankfully. But don’t let what I’ve said decline you from trying this stuff as it most likely does work, but do bare in mind that the smell is super strong and if you have pets in the room you have to take them out, also if you want to sleep in the room the same day then forget it as you’d choke to death 💀😂, well probably not but I certainly wouldn’t advise it anyway. But for the price and you’ve no issues with the smell then give it a go as may do the job but I can’t 100% say it does as I couldn’t complete the cycle of re spraying the carpet every other day for a week or maybe more if some of the squatters did survive-but if they did they must be tough little things as the stench itself would of made me run for my life if I was a carpet beetle believe 😂.So unfortunately I can’t really truthfully rate this product due to not being able to complete the course of dossing the little blittersSo it’s a 50/50, but off a guess i would say it works, but that’s a guess I’m afraid.

Kills carpet grubs
I thought my workshop carpet was beginning to show signs of wear - then I noticed further damage on untrodden bits. Google told me I had an infestation of carpet moths. Before I left for home I moved the furniture and hoovered thoroughly, then opened all the windows and lightly sprayed the damaged areas. In the morning I found three dying grubs on the carpet, about 6mm long, and a small dead beige moth (see photos). I also found new bits of eaten carpet, meaning I hadn't killed them all. I put pennies down to mark the spots of damage so I wouldn't miss any, resprayed, and hoovered. The next day I found three more grubs and a few further traces of damage. I intend to repeat this process each day until all signs of grub activity cease. On the can it recommends several light sprays - I imagine anything strong enough to kill in one application might be dangerous for domestic use.The spay is perfumed - not a very nice smell, but it does remind you to ventilate the room which is important as pesticides can damage your health. The spray is clearly working, which is good. It doesn't seem to have stained the carpet.UPDATE: Two weeks on, and so far a total of 31 grubs have come to the surface of the carpet, and I've also noticed and squashed 11 moths. I've no idea how many more are lurking, though I haven't seen further carpet damage. I may have to buy another can.
