Sturdy seat, lid doesn't slam!!
I'm so glad i bought this toilet seat, the quality is sturdy and durable. It fits perfect on my American standard toilet, like it was made for it. The seat is very snug once installed and does not move around. I like the fact that it doesn't slam like the old ones i had. Also the previous toilet seat was cheap and plastic and i did not like to sit on it because it was so flimsy. This seat is soComfortable and Sturdy, quality is excellent. I'm a woman with no previous experience installing these, and had no issues with the installation. The install was easy and quick and it seems to fit my toilet perfectly. The hardware was all there and worked with no problems. The self closing lid does work and it seems durable for the price. I highly recommend this toilet seat if you are looking for a great one.

Works very well
Easy to install and so far the slow close feature is working great and the quick disconnect is nice for cleaning.

Not easy to install
Seat itself is nice and has quite close, BUT the screws that came with it were small and not strong enough for the seat and it was very wobbly! So we had to get the screws from the old toilet seat and use it to make sure the toilet seat would be sturdy. It took us more than a half hour to install the seat!

Lid removes for cleaning
Wish the seat interior and lid interior were filled in instead of hollow so these would be wipe to clean.

Buyer beware
If I received a new item, I may have been happier with this purchase. But this item was clearly used, had a missing part, and the screw brackets were damaged.

Lightweight and doesn't fit the Caroma toilet exactly
This China-made seat has the width adjustable spacing that allows it to mount on our Caroma toilet. The mounting was relatively easy. Unfortunately, there are a couple of things not great about this fit. First, it is narrower in the front and doesn't match the Caroma bowl profile (see picture). Second, it is seriously lightweight. The toilet seat lid deflects like an oil can if you sit on it and I am only 150 lbs. This won't stand up well over time if one sits on the lid frequently.

It does not slip.
I have bought two of these after I had bad experience with wooden ones. These are easy to install and are very sturdy and quiet.
