Good book
Very good book. Well written, quickly sent and well packaged. Not so much about psychics but more of a philosophy book really. Quite easy to read with even basic intellect. Highly recommended.

A very wise perspective on life and living that is still very relevant today, a century later…
Einstein had an excellent way of simplifying highly complex situations and explains his perspective in great phraseology. So much of what he describes as the problems and solutions for the situation then, seem so applicable now.I less liked the latter part focussing on the plight of the Jews.I think this book is of value to anyone interested in philosophical things and views.

Einstein without the science
I would have liked to read Einstein's own words on relativity and quantum theory. Sadly this has been removed. What remains is a fascinating view of his thoughts on the social, political and economic issues of the day.

Interesting but no mindblower.
First of all, this book is not scientific. It's a collection of speeches and letters written by Einstein covering topics such as politics, education, the middle east, World War II,... It's very interesting to read Einstein's thoughts about these topics and a good opportunity for anyone to get to know him better (even if it's just to realise he was more than just a brilliant scientist).I'm glad I bought and read the book, but I'm also glad I didn't spend a lot of money on it.

A pure Humanist
Maybe he was a little too idealistic in places, but what a great human being. He had seen the horror of the world war of 1914-1918 and he had witnessed the everyday humiliation of his fellow Jews in Germany even before the Nazis came to power. As a result, he dreamt of Jews being allowed to emigrate to Palestine and develop the place together with the Arabs there. It could have worked if Muslim extremists had not incited the Palestinians to violence and end up with supporting Hitler. But, unfortunately that is a very big but.

Another Side of Einstein
Known principally for his contribution to science, this book reveals the social conscience of this great thinker. The book is an eclectic collection of notes and letters on a broad range of subjects, all written in the period between the two world wars and provides insight into the views if this extraordinary man.The subjects covered include the future of science, pacifism, economics, Jewish issues and many personal reflections on people he respected.I was struck by the quality of the writing. Though many of the contributions are taken from notes or letters, they have the feel of being very precisely honed, displaying great writing skill. As many of the issues discussed remain relevant today this is not merely a historical artefact of Einstein's life, but also contains ideas that are well worth revisiting.

The dated but elegant writing style is a model of clarity.
The master at work. As he has often said, he is a physicist and not a mathematician and his discourses show this in this shortish book. Even if you think you know the subject well, his way of "getting there" is reward in itself. If only modern bankers thought things through in this way.....

An excellent read
I am enjoying this very much, because I am interested in the science and also the life in equal measure. The author has covered both very well to my mind. Some biographies are little more than a series of anecdotes, but this connected narrative helps me feel I really understand the man well.
