A little expensive but worth it
I am extremely happy with this tree. It's a bit expensive at 90 dollars but it's 4 times larger than the 20 dollar ones and 4 times more realistic. Is it perfect. No, but I can't imagine doing better for the price. The green felt-like soil that goes partially up the trunk doesn't look very good but I didn't deduct a star because it's easily rectified. You can place pebbles and one to three larger white rock on top and paint the lower trunk.Another easy visually appealing accent is placing several micro one inch tall chinese characters on top of the soil to give it scale. It makes it appear they're relaxing underneath a 100 foot tall tree.

Awesome plant shame about the pot
This is a great fake plant, I get lots of people that touch it to check if it is real or not. But I agree with many of the comments that the pot is gross. We put it in another pot but if you decide to do that be warned that you literally have to cut the existing pot apart to get it out, there is a huge heavy plastic bolt that we had to saw through to get it lose :).It was worth it, but at the time I wondered why we had started.. It looks much nicer now.

Beautiful tree!
I have purchased artificial bonsai trees in the past, so I knew what I would be getting. I also have purchased from Nearly Natural in the past, and knew what I would be finding from them. When I order any tree, plant, etc I order from Nearly Natural. This tree looks so real, even my guests think I spent a fortune on the tree. It is beautiful. I admire it every day. It looks just as pictured. Being 24 inches of tree, mostly, it overcomes you, and you have to sit and admire it, from where I stand. Its really lifelike although realistically the leaves are not real, nor are they silk. But that is no problem. I cannot imaging trying to make those tiny, tiny leaves from silk, anyway. My only complaint is that I wish the pot were a bit more decorative. But, for the price I paid, its well worth it to own this tree. Imagine, if you paid for a real bonsai tree that large, you would be spending anywhere from $500 to $3,000 on it. Seriously! I have always wanted one of these trees, in bonsai form, and now I have one, even if its only artificial. Nearly Natural, thank you! Amazon, thanks for having it on your site.

Decent tree
A very nice tree. Looks pretty real until you get very close. Tree was pretty much loose in the box held in place by the base and branches. Some of the branches got bent out of position but a little patient work and heat from a lighter got them straightened out again. Ther was no sign of any fiberglass tape as mentioned in another review and the trunk was molded fairly realistically in a single piece of plastic.

Has potential… but requires work
So the pro- the tree itself looks fairly realistic. I’d say a 4 out of 5. However, the roots are covered in this weird fuzz which I think is suppose to represent moss. The pot is also cheap plastic and way too big for the size of this size tree.. This makes it look very fake.If you want this faux bonsai to look better. You need to repot it in a 8-10 inch clay bonsai pot and remove all the fake felt like moss.

Best model out there for the plastic bonsais
It's a great size for filling empty space with greenery, nice shape, looks pretty real from a distance, far better than other fake plastic trees I've seen for much higher prices, plus the juniper bonsai is pretty unique for a fake plant. I wish they would make more like this one in a similar size. I got a second one for my office and it makes the place feel much more relaxing, and you know, 'hang together'. I don't understand the reviews expecting it to look identical to a real tree up close, that's expecting a bit too much of a room decoration for the price point IMO.

Not worth $99
This tree arrived in a box that was twice as big as it needed to be. The tree must have been flopping around in there during shipping and was broken from the base when it arrived. I will say it's quite detailed, but it is not worth $99. It's all plastic and the tree is not rooted in the base in a way that would keep it stable. It's a surface mount which explains why it broke from the base during shipping. I bought it to sit way up on top of a cabinet so no one is going to see the plastic, but if you're looking for a showy piece that looks real up close, this isn't it.

Great product for the price
This is a large fake bonsai tree. Even though the title said silk, it is all plastic (like many reviews stated). At first, I closely inspected everything, and was a bit disappointed at the quality.... But after putting it on display in the house, my wife asked me how it could grow there with no sunlight, and asked of I was afraid of killing it. BOOM. it was worth the money at that point. At a glance or from nearby it can pass as real... If you inspect it in arms length, you will tell it's fake... For the money, this is what I was trying to get.My reason for taking off 1 star is for two reasons 1) description/title insinuates it is manufactured from silk materials -it's not and 2) the glued on dirt around the trunk -near the roots- is too symmetrical..It is too uniform to be natural
