Functional and versatile SFP copper transceiver
This transceiver worked great in another switch I purchased from Amazon with a no-name Chinese company. I also used it in media converters (fiber to copper) for connecting directly to my computer. It automatically negotiates the speed and was extremely easy to install. It was also compatible in my Intel X710 network card that runs the network for my server to connect to my coax cable modem. The fact this SFP supports multiple speed options is also great because I connected it to a switch with only 10G but it worked fine connected to a 2.5G copper RJ45 jack without any errors, so it must negotiate and rate limit within itself.

Good Compatibility
Excellent SFP+ Module. Came in a very nice and minimal package, plugged directly into the SFP+ Port of my Sophos CS110-24FP Switch. I first plugged in my machine's 1Gbps port and got 1Gbps link, then I plugged in the 10gbe port and got 10gbps over ~12m of Cat5e. Great stuff! It wasnt perfectly documented if this would be compatible so I am really happy to see it's plug-and-play. I went ahead and ordered the 1/2.5/5/10gbps model to test on some other devices.

Runs hot
Works like a charm, but very hot. Stayed within the documented temperature range/norms when I checked with my thermal camera so I don't expect any issues. The heat makes me nervous for my kids long term however, so I am using this as a short term stopgap.

Plug-and-Play
These are working great. I have them slotted into a Grandstream switch and there were no issues with it translating my older 1GB network stuff to the 10GB.

Failed after about 45 days of use
Update: 10GTek reached out to me and offered a refund if I returned the adapter. The thing that I most appreciate, however, is they asked for a lot of information about my system and how it failed. They want to test the returned unit to see why it was acting this way. I can't ask more of a company than to stand behind their products and try to better them as they find issues. I would be very comfortable buying more products from them knowing now that they will stand behind their products past the 30 day return window. This worked great for about 45 days as the WAN adapter on my Ubiquiti UDM, then all of a sudden I started having all kinds of speed problems, latency, and dropped packets. It correctly negotiated the port speed on the ethernet side (5Gb) and never ran hot. I thought it was an ISP issue but when I removed this adapter and went straight into the 1Gb ethernet WAN all of my problems went away. This is absolute junk and now the return window is closed.

Just plug and play
This works perfectly with my Zyxel XGS1210-12, connected via a CAT6 ethernet cable. Got my full 10 gigabit link as advertised.

Works in additional modes not expected
Works in my UDM Pro Max and getting a full 10Gbe connection to my fiber ONT. While set to 10Gb on the SFP+ port, it still connected to a 1Gbe Ethernet on my old ONT just fine. It does run a bit hot like it says on the package. Heat is typical for these adapters. I added heat sinks like another reviewer and dropped running temps a few deg C. Install was simple, just plugged it in and plugged in an Ethernet cable.

Got stuck in the SFP port and had to pry it off.
I bought this to add RG45 to my Unifi Aggregation switch. I was able to run 10gbE but these ran so hot that I decided to get an SFP+ optical cable instead. Problem was that this transceiver got stuck in the port and there was nothing I could do to remove it. After two hours of trying to find YouTube videos showing how to remove stuck transceivers, I had no choice but to use pliers and remove it by force. Of course the force destroyed the handle and the plug arm. It became unusable. Wasted money if you ask me since it can only be used if you never ever plan to remove it from the port.
