Flatworm Exit

I just used this on both of my tanks and u can literally see it working. The flatworms just let go and float up

I used Flatworm Exit as direct and had a significant reduction in flatworms. They have come back but there are not as many. I've been told (by my local fish store owner and blogs) that sometimes the treatment takes 2-3 rounds to fully kill off an infestation. Mine was really bad (I'm assuming my large copepod population supported 1000s). However, since Exit, the flatworm population has stabilized, and I haven't done a second round.Exit was fine on most of my fish and my anemone. In an abundance of caution, I removed my other corals. I wish I hadn't: I am pretty sure they suffered more damage from the move than they would've from Exit. My Bubbletip anemone and mushrooms were perfectly fine during and after treatment. Clownfish, anthias, goby and dottyback were fine. HOWEVER, my foxface rabbitfish was not fine - she's a rabid eater and I think she ate some dying flatworms. She survived despite spending some time floating upside down on the gyre flow pump intake. That same Foxface rabbitfish was busy hogging everyone's food the next day. I lost 75% of my snail population (though the larger turbo snails survived) but my two clams survived).Three things:1) The flatworms start dying SECONDS after you pour the Exit in the tank - the instructions say "up to 30 minutes". An exaggeration. It takes seconds. It will be CRAZY trying to scoop them out.2) A simple NET works better than a vacuum. Get one with smaller holes - pantyhose sized holes would be perfect. Enlist a friend. Prepare many towels.3) Read the directions carefully. They are strangely jumbled. You may have to read them two or three times.My local fish store says that they use Exit all the time and that it's not as scary as the instructions make it sound. If my foxface hadn't started going into super sick mode, I'd agree. My 4th tip:(4) Remove voracious eaters. They will try and eat the nasty toxic flatworm carcasses and get sick.So, Exit appears to be the industry standard. I expect I'll have to use it again, but I really don't want to. I'll try biological methods first. I've heard that 6-Line wrasse help but the velvet nudibranches are the real deal. We'll see. Good luck!

I purchased this product from amazon. When following instructions it worked perfectly. After 5 minutes those pests started floating around grabbed them with a small net while increasing water flow. After 2 hours many were dead on the bottom I siphoned them out with a 20 percent water change and they seem to all be dead. Now added fresh charcoal to remove any odor and turn skimmer back on. So glad I found this product.

Worked great. Had a large infestation in a very large tank. Recommend following the instructions exactly as described. Wiped out the flatworms, and by following the instructions on siphoning visible worms, followed by carbon and large water change, the fish and corals still look happy and healthy! Be sure to follow up with a second dose within a week to get any newly hatched worms.

Dosed the recommended amount. Dosed double as the package say you can. Dose enough for 600 gallons in a 120 with maybe 30 in the sump and still rocking flatworms. Might have worked for some but did nothing for me. Ordered nudis to fix it the natural way.
