Very good "power washer", definitely not a "pressure washer"
This is a review of a “power” washer, not a “pressure” washer. If you need a pressure washer, this is not for you, no need to read any further. As a 40+ year homeowner I have never had the need to buy a compressor and a pressure washer, but we have 100’ of Brazilian hardwood fence that needed cleaning before re-oiling. As a long time DeWalt user, I checked out their tools and found this power washer, read the reviews, watched the videos (which were very helpful), and decided that this probably had enough power for the job at hand.I just finished the job and I think this tool is exactly what I needed. Now is it too powerful? No, but I don’t see how a little more power would help. If you think you need “more power”, as Tim Allen used to say on Tool Time, then look elsewhere. The four tips that are included are basically two wider angle tips, which even set on high power, were kind of wimpy, and two other tips that I used. When I tried the 5-degree tip it seemed much stronger, but then when I put on the Turbo tip, that’s what I wound up using. It easily removed the dust and some of the oily stains from the wood, which was 95% good enough for me. I re-oiled the fence and it looks good as new.Pros1. Not too heavy like some others have noted. It’s about as unwieldy as using a hedge trimmer if that helps You can reach out and use it one-handed for hard to get to places, for a short time.2. I bought the whole kit so I now have a second charger and a fresh 5-amp battery. I have several lower amp batteries and they do not work, so be forewarned if that’s all you have.3. Easy to use with a hose attached or using the light and flexible hose that you stick in a bucket. I used a 15-gallon tub when my hose wouldn’t reach the corners of my property, and it works fine.4. I did not notice any overheating issues as others have noted, even though I probably ran it for the better part of an hour. I mean you’re in a spray of water as you use the tool, so I don’t know how it could really overheat.5. When the battery was down to about 75-80% I noticed a drop in power, so then I would go to sections of the fence that didn’t need as much power until the battery really died, so you do get enough notice to move faster as needed.Cons1. As noted in other reviews, the plastic quick release that comes with the tool would easily break if you were pulling a long length of hose. I purchased, online, a brass kit that included the two pieces I needed for less than $10 and I’m good to go.2. It uses a lot of water, so be prepared to fill your bucket often if you’re not attached to a hose.3. It sucks batteries dry quickly, within 10-15 minutes of use, so either move quickly or have extra batteries ready. That’s why I purchased a second charger, to keep two batteries topped off as much as possible4. Not as powerful as a pressure washer, but good enough for removing loose dirt and debris. Could easily be used to clean windows, bird poop, bee poop, etc. off of most surfaces.

YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME
First of all, I have been using power washers for over 20 years. And I am quite mechanically minded.OkBought this "power " washer to clean the floor on my pontoon boat. Charged battery overnight.Dropped the intake hose in lthe water next to the boat. Inserted proper nozzle and pulled the trigger. Now I know it had to prime itself so I waited and waited and waited. 5 minutes went by and only a little trickle. Then it came to life... for less than a minute... waited and waited and waited and the sprayer came to life again.. for 1 minute. This went on for about 30 minutes with maybe 4 minutes of spraying.Intake screen was clean and hose was not kinked or plugged. And the washer was on high power setting. The crowd that had assembled was not impressed.Back at the lakehouse now repacking for return.I have owned a lot of Dewalt battery operated tools and never had an issue. This is truly a P.O.S. and I have never written a bad online review. If anyone can tell me what I did wrong, please do so. This would be a great time save.

A time saver for me...
I've been using this to clean duck crap off my dock. In the past I had to use a sump pump and multiple extension cords to pump water out of the lake to run an electric pressure washer. This unit is so convenient as it's battery powered and self-syphons water out of the lake.

Cant believe this was a DeWalt!?!
I really wanted to like this tool as I have been in the market for a pressure washer for my ATV and garden tractor rinse after hitting some muddy areas on my property. I used this first time and I was impressed with its lightweight design and the way it felt. Very well balanced and rubber grips were perfect. Im a HUGE DeWalt fan having many tools from them over the years accomplishing many projects around the house. Maybe it was irony having a conversation with one of my contractor clients a few weeks back talking about his DeWalt chop block saw and how I wanted one. He said that he thought DeWalt's durability was on the downslope and he recommended a couple other brands in stead. So fast forward to today as I am using the powerwasher for the first time and just about finished with the ATV after washing the garden tractor and BANG! The little clear plastic nozzle just shattered and sent water everywhere. I thought it looked pretty flimsy but figured DeWalt engineering had tested this pretty well as they always have at the weakest points. So now Im in the comments section reading about others who have had the same experience not once, twice but even THREE times! Not DeWalt "Guaranteed Tough" but I have Harbor Freight Tools that are tougher than that! Hoping someone makes a brass fitting replacement for it!

Effective and easy to use power washer
I saw the negative reviews of this product and I just don’t get it. This is NOT a gas high powered pressure washer. Anyone who thinks that’s 20 volt lithium ion battery is going to compete with a larger gas or AC electric pressure washer is not thinking realistically. I purchase this to do lighter pressure washing for pool and spa filters, clean the lanai and remove moss from in between pavers. I also wanted something that was easy to use and convenient. This washer has done everything I wanted it to do. I even saw someone complain that the wand was too long. Again I don’t get it. The length is perfect for removing the dirt and mold from pavers. I purchased an additional battery for longer jobs. I give it a full 5 stars. I’m very happy with my purchase.
