Q: Is the build quality of the xfinity stand and the "double braced" stand the same? i like the pin adjustment vs the plastic locking gears.

Yes the locking mechanism works well Like it better then the pin Only problem is strapping the keyboard Keyboard slides forward and backward while playing it

It will support. But overall the quality is poor. It will bend after some time. I would recommend to check out something else.
