It does the job
I like doing triathlons and long-distance cycling and I am cheap, lol. I have never been a fan of the little packages of Gu and trying to keep track of the trash. I also am not worried about the EXACT amount of fuel I intake and am fine with being close enough. But, I find it easy to combine the maltodextrin, agave syrup, electrolyte powder, and flavor in my kitchen aid mixer and let it go. I keep the big batch in a wine purse refill bag. I clean them and reuse them as well and it works well. https://www.amazon.com/6-Pack-Wine-Purse-Refill-Bags/dp/B0195E7COI/ref=sr_1_16?Anyway, these hold the product well and clean easily. The caps do not leak. Although, sometimes the caps get a little stuck shut but I am not sure if I shut it to hard or if the sugar glues it shut. Overall though, it does its job and I like it.

Works well
Great for long run fueling. I make my own energy gel using chia seeds, the seeds get stuck unless I crank the lid as open as it goes, which distracts me enough whilst running that my pace slows. I don't like that, so I think next time I will try grinding up the chias. It would work perfectly with Gu though, since obviously that's what it's made for. It doesn't leak gel, but I think it would probably leak water. It's the perfect size to fit in my FlipBelt, it's pretty easy to clean, and it didn't come with any funky smells or anything. I'm happy with it, and will likely order another so I can carry 2 with me for my first full marathon this fall (I'm slow, so it'll be a long one.)

My favorite.
I ride with one to two of these in my bike jersey pockets. Get a funnel to put gel into the flask. Easy to use, never leaks. One thing, do not fill to the very top or it will squirt out on the first squeeze. When using, hold right side up not sideways upon opening that's the fail proof. You will probably spill some your very first time using it haha, but stick with it, once you figure it out it's priceless! Just bought my third one because I lost one here at home I believe. These are easy to clean with warm water and a bit of soap! no leaks. (no proof-read)

Great for long Distances
I picked up this flask to put my GU in for my 50k Ultra run. I was a little concerned due to the reviews regarding the main cap twisting loose while trying to open the cap to release the GU. For me this wasn't an issue but over time with usage this could start happening as others have mentioned. I was able to stuff 6 GUs in the flask. I like the fact the flask has numbers to show you the quantity of GU you have taken in. This allowed me to gauge my intake during the race. I did like the fact that I didn't have to struggle to tear into a GU pack with frozen hands, the flask made taking in GU much easier and I didn't have to worry about stuffing trash into a pocket, pouch or waiting to get to the aid station.

Good but individual Gu are easier
Great sturdy product everything works great and holds up on long hikes. Refilling can be kind of a pain also if you like different flavors lie I do this probably wouldn’t be the best choice because it holds more than one serving of gu so you would have to purchase multiple. A great positive though with sticking with one flavor is that you reduce trash you have to carry with you.

2 Suggestions to make it 5 stars
I like the concept of having 1 reusable container instead of carrying multiple GU packets. However, instead of a hard plastic spout, I'd suggest a soft plastic alternative. I like to use the flask on rides but it can be awkward in a pace line doing 20+ mph with the hard plastic spout bouncing off your teeth while trying to open and close it. I've had GU on my handlebars, gloves and top tube of my bike because of this. I also use the flask on my long runs and don't have any problems. Wonder if quality control and product management are geared more towards the running community. Secondly, the portion measuring labeling reads from the bottom up (1 -5). On the flip side of the flask, I'd suggest labeling the measured quantity from 5 - 1 and print it upside down so you can see how much gel you're consuming instead of guessing. Adopt these 2 changes and you've got a 5 star product that meets the needs of both the running and cycling communities.

Convenient and easy to use
Easy to use and especially easy to clean, which is very important. I if you’re using it for what it’s attended for.The nozzle could be a little softer instead of the harder plastic. It would be better if the cap were reverse threaded in order to not to unscrew the cap when opening spout

DO NOT BUY! Leaky, defective product!
This is the first negative review I can recall leaving in my life. I used this flask one single time. It was a mess, gel was getting everywhere, and I couldn't figure out why. Afterwards, when I was cleaning it, I noticed it was leaking excessively from the bottom "sealed" corner... and then I noticed it was also leaking from the completely closed lid. I received a water bottle that is literally leaking from both ends, and yet I can't return it or get refunded to to their policy. Complete waste of money.
