Live Hornwort shipped to your door
Real, live hornwort. Arrived early via UPS. I got 3 bundles to be safe as my fish like to eat them. Arrived vaccuum sealed with a little water , plants seem in good health, green with nice buds on the outer ends and rhizomes (similar to roots) well formed on the bottoms. Each bundle is held together with a rubber band on the bottom portion. Will buy again when resupply is needed.Update: 3 weeks later plants are still going strong, I dont test my water so I do not know the conditions. Some of the hornwort did shed and new growth has since taken place. (See 3rd Picture)

Thought it would grow, it mostly didn't
Hornwort update: I trimmed the very tops of the stems and floated them for a week or two and now I have maybe 3 or 4 living stems that are still tiny but growing. The whole rest of the plant is dead, shed all the needles into the tank and is melting and making a mess. Other plants seem to be doing okay so far.-------Right up top, I think 4 stars for live plants on Amazon is a good expectation. I purchased 3 different plants in one order from this seller, so I'm going to copy the same review to each item. I'll try to update as things grow in.I ordered Hornwort, Java Moss, and Crypt Parva for a new mini shrimp jar. I placed my order on a Saturday evening and I did choose to pay for faster shipping to ensure they had the best chance. To my surprise, the order was filled and shipped Sunday morning. I just received them Wednesday morning and planted everything. It was in a box with a bubblewrap bag with the plants inside. Everything was intact.I received a tissue culture of something for free with my order, not sure what it is yet. Looks green and healthy, we'll see - I sometimes have bad luck with tissues. The hornwort I'm giving 4 stars. It feels strong, but bristly and it's browner than I would hope. Kind of a messy bundle, but it's okay for me because I chopped it into pretty short stems anyways. I expect the color to improve over time, maybe with some trimming and replanting. The java moss also gets 4 stars. It's java moss. Maybe the clump of moss seemed a little small... but again this was a situation where I really didn't need very much, so it worked out. It looks and feels healthy, and it will grow. The crypt parva gets 5 stars. Looked just as good, if not better, than a plant in a bag would look if I drove to my LFS and bought one. Big and healthy and easy to split into smaller pieces. I was worried the crown might be mushy but it's awesome.Overall, my experience is better than I expected. I'll try to update in a few weeks once things settle in, but based on how they look and feel, it would likely be my fault if they died.

Strong, but stressed
The item/water plant, looks a little stressed, but it had been almost a week. The plant looks a dull olive green and wilted. I place it into my pond and I’m hoping it’ll recover. I gently swirled them around my pond, and no leaves came off, so the plant is still strong - just stressed.Update: one month later, plant has been putting off new lush branches since a week in the pond. I have a good feeling that this plant will help aerate my little lotus pond.Update: three months later and plant is thriving with little if any assistance. In these past 3-4 months, I only twice spread the plant out over the surface of the pond so it could get maximum sunlight, and it’s thriving. New branches are a brighter shade of emerald green.

UPDATED REVIEW
UPDATE: I’ve had these plants in my aquarium for a few weeks now and I am pleasantly surprised. Honestly, I didn’t think they would live-I didn’t even plant them because I thought I’d have to rip them out. Luckily, I was wrong. Now they do look like their picture and they are actually thriving. I’m glad I gave them a chance to rebound because they really are doing great. I upgraded the stars from 3 to 4. I didn’t give it a 5 due to how they were upon arrival.I’ve been waiting for my aquarium plants to arrive and was thrilled that they arrived a day early. They were reasonably well packed. Unfortunately they didn’t look remotely like the picture. The bunches of plants were large-that was nice but only one of them seemed a bit green. Everything else was brown and fell apart in the water. Sad. But I’m hoping they perk up and turn my opinion around.

More than I expected,
Whoa, a lot more than I was expecting! It looked a bit sad and brown while in the package, but once it was in the water and unbound, it did great. I'd advise you rinse them or soak them a little before adding them to your tank; it had a lot of shed needles in the package that snowed into my tank and some soil was still on the plants that I didn't take into account. It's been healthy so far as a floating plant. The fry love to hide in it and it is more than enough to cover my 20 gallon tank.

pest snail surprise
When i got these in they were in great shape - green and beautifuli think it was a week or two before i notice that i had some unexpected pets - all of a sudden i had thousands of snailsI'm still trapping snails out of 10 gal betta tank even nowwhile i was pleased with the product I am not happy about the snails and in order to get rid of them I've had to get rid of the hornwort which my Bettas loved - my tank looks very bare now sadly i will have to transfer to another tank and replant it because the snails have almost destroyed all of the planted plants that were in my tank
