Very good gift
Lots of fun assembling the robot. It took about 5h. The 33 pages - assembly instructions is well organized, providing instructions step by step that you must follow. If who is going to receive this gift in not familiar assembling motors, gears, boars mmmm this could not be a good choice.Final toy works well.No extra screws, nuts, no nothing, so you have to be very careful to don't loose anything. For assembly, you'll need a Diagonal cutter, screwdriver and a table. For play, the kit requires 4 D batteries that are not included.

Great toy!
We bought this as a gift for my 11 year old son. He needed some adult help to assemble it (especially turning the little screws), but he loves playing with it. It's able to grab and move little things (think hotwheels or smaller). It has a little light at the end of the arm, which he loves.

I keep it on the dinner table and use it to pass the salt.
I bought this for myself. It reminded me of the RadioShack robot arm I had when I was a kid. It took me a couple hours to put together and I thoroughly enjoyed building it. My only complaint is that the RadioShack model allowed the claw to rotate 360 degrees around. I wish this did the same. Outside of this one thing, it is a lot of fun. I now keep it on the dinner table and use it to pass the salt. My poor family!

Not impressed
I had an Armstrong when I was a kid.. I bought this for my autistic nephew. It was semi easy for me to put together. I felt it was made out of cheap material.. have to nephew Christmas and it was broke the next day.. my opinion it is more for show than is for use

Complete letdown!
This product is a complete letdown! My kids used one at the school STEM fair. I bought this so we could put it together. First the parts are designed poorly and lack forethought. If you don’t have everything lined up just right the parts do not go together. The fasteners are too small to be practical. The nuts that hold the parts together will jump out of their pockets when you try to assemble two parts. My kids were so excited to get this and let down that they couldn’t assemble it. I even have trouble assembling the parts.
