Makes great suspension boots - Really works!
I use a needle to grease suspension parts in the snow belt, and I heard you can use this stuff to build a lasting repair for the holes the needle creates and the tears that regularly happen. Replacing certain boots is a waste of time since the replacement kits are so crappy. Compared to those, this silicon tape has actually lasted just as long.I am on 10 months with this stuff and it's been through a salty winter without a garage--still attached! One side had a couple inches unwound (which doesn't matter because I wrapped it 4-6 winds) and I just rewrapped both sides in preparation for this upcoming winter.I think the unwinding was because of the following:The tape sticks to itself like crazy, but you install it with your greasy hands and wrap it up in the confines of a rusty, dirty suspension area. So my one bit of advice is that you ought to take extra care when applying. I definitely was not surgically clean in my application. But I think it held up great overall. Stretch it just a bit so it gets a good cling on itself. This is a small miracle of a product to survive under my car in those conditions. One side didn't budge at all after a northern winter and a summer, and the other side started to unwind and held itself against the air flapping it around for however long--almost equally impressive. It holds itself under tension and does not fail easily. All from tape that doesn't feel even sticky to the touch. Great technology and worth every penny for my application.

Used to seal damaged hose
I bought this to help reconnect a piece of garden hose I had to cut clean after a rabid bunny chewed through it. Once I cut the hose and fed it inside each other I was able to tape and consistently pull it tight to seal the hose. Very durable if you pull tight as instructed.

It didn’t work.
It didn’t work. The water escaped from underneath the tape. I used the entire roll and went over it and over it and the water still escaped. It was a waste of money. There is no superglue on the tape. The tape sticks to itself and forms a chunk of vinyl. That’s why there’s a piece of plastic you need to remove under the tape. Yes, I pulled it very tight to make sure there were no gaps. It worked as well as duct tape. I will get some epoxy. That will work.Don’t bother.

Yes mam
Yup this the stuff. Working like a charm

Tape must be stuck to itself
This tape works only when stuck to itself like wrapping it around a pipe onto itself. It does not work when just taping a surface like regular tape would

Stopped the leak
Quick, easy and done! No more leak in my garden hose. Took no time at all to apply the tape and was able to use instantly. Saved me from buying a new garden hose

Held my heating system together!
This stuff is so great it's almost magical - BUT the key is to stretch it before wrapping (the way you'd stretch a balloon a few times before blowing it up) & then keep it stretched very taut as you wrap. Also overlap each pass by about 40-50% - don't skimp!I think the folks who gave poor reviews probably didn't stretch it tight enough as they were putting it on - you want it to be about double in length (stretched vs unstretched). It can be tricky if you're working in a tight space or with something that is hard to really pull against like a garden hose. But this stuff, along with Aquamend marine epoxy (hands-down best epoxy, especially for anything wet or high-temp, I buy on Amazon) literally held my steam heat system together for 3-4 years before & during covid. We'd put off replacing 2 heat pipes that were rotting out from being pitched improperly - they kept developing holes that ranged from 2-8 mm (not just "pinholes") & I kept patching them with aquamend plus this magic tape over the epoxy. Finally got the pipes replaced but will always keep some of this stuff around!

Works but disappointing
The only use I have made is to try to repair a couple of small leaks in a garden hose. I believe I Applied the tape properly according to directions, but even though there was no particular pressure on the hose, one of the places still leaked. Obviously having used the tape I can’t return it, but I am a bit disappointed in it. I applied the tape on a dry hose and let it sit in the sun for quite some time before using it.
