This is my third time purchasing it. It’s excellent to wrap around the base of trees that you don’t want your cats to get up in and get the birds and you can put it on the ground covering an area where you don’t want the cats to walk-through.. It’s a lifesaver… for this crazy bird lady with two cats that love to murder the crows murder if you know what that means…My hundred-year-old Japanese Zelkova tree makes my backyard with the other trees and bushes a bird sanctuary minus the two evil cats..

I purchased this scat mat, to put into outdoor planters. The flowers were all ready in the planter, so I cut the mat, to fit in between the plants. I did use the little hooks to set the mat, but ended up using land scaping staples to keep them in place. So far it has kept the critters out of the planters. Like it so much, I bought more. I even planted seeds in the pot, and then placed, one whole piece, cut to size, into the planter, and the flower seeds just grew up through the holes.

Got this to put on top of my gerbil's tank to deter my foster cat and it worked like a charm! I had to use twist ties and duct tape it to the lid so the only downside is that it is pretty curved up and doesn't lay flat which can be pretty annoying for what you are trying to use it for. Doesn't hurt cats, just makes them avoid it.

I put this in my garden to prevent the rats from eating my tomatoes. So far, so good.

THIS IS MY SECOND PURCHASE. THE CATS NEED A CONSTANT REMINDER TO STAY OFF THE FLOWERS! THIS GETS THE JOB DONE AND DOESN'T HURT THE ANIMALS. IT IS LIGHT WEIGHT AND EASY TO CUT WITH KITCHEN SCISSORS BEFORE LAYING ABOUT IN THE FLOWER BED. SOME SMALL ROCKS WILL SECURE THE ITEM..COULDN'T ASK FOR MORE!

It doesn't lie flat unless secured with tension using string, zip ties, velcro, or similar. Otherwise, it curls up. I wanted something I could cut to size and place temporarily on certain ledges or seats, but the curling creates a large gap that cats can slip under or flip over. I may need to tie it to cardboard to make it work. It's not a dealbreaker, but many options on Amazon don't require this extra effort or added DIY costs.

This was easy to use and I was happy to see a simple pair of scissors could cut it to size. I may order more.

Solved my issue. For some unknown reason stray cats visit my backyard to sit on top of my charcoal grill which is always covered. Laid these mats on top of the grill with a weight to hold it in place. The cats haven't returned. Works for me!
