Amazed at the rapid improvement in my dogs overall health.
I ran across flaxseed lignans while searching "Cushings Disease on the internet. I finally tried the product and am amazed as to how well it improved the condition of my Chihuahua. Within the first week I noticed that she had stopped the panting and the large water intake associated with the disease. It has been 3 weeks now and weak limbs and getting stronger and her coat is starting to grow back around her head and ears. Haven't had a problem of too much fiber in her diet with this product as reporter by some buyers reviews. I give her 25mg table a day with her breakfast.I don't know if there are any studies on the long term use of this product, but I can truly say it has given her back a good quality of life. The dog is going on 14 years old and I thought all of her problems were just old age until I had my vet look at her. This is a miracle product for my dog.

So far, so good.
I had to stop Vetoryl for my 12 year old beagle due to elevated liver enzymes. I put him on Lignans for Life and melatonin instead. It has been 5 weeks and he has not relapsed to pre-Vetoryl symptoms. International delivery was also fast and hassle-free. Update: 6 months later and he is still doing ok. Realistically he doesn’t have a lot of time in front of him but I think this product has helped his quality of life.

happily seeing progress in 3 weeks of taking
read the reviews. my papillon was diagnosed last month with cushings. After reading on the drugs that vets give, and how harsh they are- Also others who had dogs with cushings told me to opt out on the treatment. searched for alternatives and univ of Tenn has seen great progress with this flaxseed lignans and melatonin. I seen sutle chances witin a few days. like drinking less water, walking around more and sleeping a little less. is more alert and social. After 3 weeks, I notice some weight loss- He is overweight from cushings by 12 lbs. I can pick him up easier-he is walking around easier and with more energy. have my hopes up. Will write an update in another month or so. Angel is only 9 yrs old and such a sweet boy. he even started barking lately for his treat.my friend in Jersey, her vet told her, that great progress is being made with these herbs and melantonin. UDATE, MARCH 2017- HAD TO DO SOME TWEETING OF MEDS. GIVE 1/2 CAP IN AM ANDOTHER IN PM. STOPED THE MELANITONIN AS HE WAS SLEEPING TOO MUCH AND WEAKER. GIVING HIM TURMERIC EVERY DAY-IS ALOT MORE ACTIVE. EATING WELL-WALKING ON HIS OWN,STILL NEEDS TO LOSE WEIGHT,BUT I THINK IT IS BECAUSE HIS ORGANS HAVE ENLARGED FROM DISEASE. BOTTOM LINE , AT THIS POINT OF TX OF3 MONTHS , HIS QUALITY OF LIFE HAS MUCH IMPROVED.

Amazing results for Atypical Cushings too! I have my happy pup back!
Sheltie girl had made huge improvement on a treatment plan that includes this product for her Atypical Cushings Disease. It was our amazing vet, who kept digging to avoid the nasty drugs with so many side effects, who got the University of Tennessee involved. My fur baby had so many symptoms of Cushings, but they didn't totally support that diagnosis. The U of T bloodwork gave us the final diagnosis of Atypical Cushings. The symptoms are mostly the same; panting, thirst, hunger, lethargy, brittle coat. She is almost symptom free. And working with our vet, we can easily tweak the dosage if we see changes in symptoms, with no dangerous side effects. Our regimen includes Lignans, fish oil and melatonin. All reasonably priced and so much safer than the drugs.Don't self-diagnose or accept a diagnosis unless you feel your vet has explored all options!

Excellent alternative therapy for canine Cushings Disease
This product is part of a natural daily dietary regimen recommended for my dog who was diagnosed with Cushings disease over 3 years ago. She was tried on two other very expensive and potentially dangerous medications that did little to control her Cushings symptoms. It was explained to me by my vet that the Univ. of Tennessee at Knoxville has done extensive research on alternative supplements for controlling Cushings disease in dogs. After the University reviewed my Goldendoodle's bloodwork, they made a recommendation for a combination of Flaxseed Lignans and Melatonin in a proportion right for her. She has done extremely well since! While nothing but risky and expensive surgery could make her Cushings free this has been an excellent alternative therapy; she is virtually symptom free AND has a normal life expectancy. Note: please don't use my review to self diagnose - Cushings in dogs can be and usually is a dangerous and debilitating disease and use of natural alternatives needs to be carefully evaluated and recommended in appropriate dosages by a trained veterinarian.

Helpful for dog endocrine issues
I have an older dog that has gone through much specialist testing and after years still just comes back with "some sort of endocrine issue" to which he has fur loss and unregulated diabetes. After exhausting a lot of other options this was recommended by the University of Tennessee. He has been on these for a little over a month and so far no fur growth, but his blood sugar numbers seem to be improving, so the specialist feels they are helping. As a large dog he needs 3 a day, but I just put them right on his dry food, with a scoop of canned food on top. and he has no problem eating the capsules.

Took awhile but it works!
We have a 14 yr old, 28 lb Brussels Griffon diagnosed with Cushings. We did not put him on the harsh drugs. The vet recommended this once a day with melatonin. I read where it can take awhile to see results, so we were persistent and after 4 months I'm very pleased. His water consumption has decreased significantly even in the TX heat and it's been a full week now with no accident in the house. He still wears a child's diaper inserted in a belly band at night but it's been great to wake up for a week and find a dry diaper. He will swallow it whole when wrapped in thin, deli sliced chicken but you can also crack the capsule and pour it over food. I can tell he feels better. I just want to say, stay at it. Two bottles will last 6 months and it might take 4 or 5 months but don't get discouraged if you don't see results right away. Stay at it. I'll be ordering more.
