Improves the water quality of my hot tub.
I bought for filtering water for my hot tub.I put two together and what a difference it makes for the water quality. Now i just use bromine tablets along with this filtered water and what a bid difference. The water stays clear for many weeks and the bromine disolves slowly. I put in new tablets one per week if that. The filters last me for about 10 changes of water, and may last even longer.

Used for my washer and very happy with the results
I bought the filter for my washer. I’ve used it two weeks now, and I know my clothes are softer. I can definitely see and feel a difference. I used the extra flexible hose attachment, and added the filter to the hose rather than the faucet. It’s big. Very happy with the product. It’s well worth the money, and very easy to install.

It's good!
One end always leaks a little. Use some thread tape. I think it's the inflow side. Anyways. Filters good. Clean ass water.

More bang for your buck
You can buy water filters like this at any hardware store, BUT Amazon offers them at a great price when you buy 2! So we saved money, and now have a spare one for the next time we need to change the filter out

So far so good
Can actually see the difference it made after washing our vehicles and helps them stay looking better longer.

It's OK, helped but didn't cure it.
It's OK, not the results I was hoping for. It helped but didn't cure it.

Easy to use
Used to fill up my hot tub. Keeping the water soft and at the right parameters became much easier. Love these.

Take a minute and read this
Regretfully, I’m revising my original five-star review of this product. At first, I was impressed—an Amazon Basics item at half the price of retail, seemingly doing the exact same job. Well, cheaper isn’t always better.I used this filter in fall of 2023, again a few times in 2024, and most recently in 2025 to fill a 550-gallon spa. That shouldn’t have even come close to maxing out its advertised capacity. But here’s what happened: the carbon inside dried out, became brittle, and fractured. That fractured carbon then broke loose and shot straight into my spa’s plumbing. If you’re lucky like me, it clogs a couple jets and you spend the next hour popping them off and punching the carbon out. Annoying, but survivable. If you’re using this on an RV system, though? That carbon ends up in your pump or lines, and now you’ve got a disaster on your hands—an expensive one.Yes, there’s some grit and silicone settled at the bottom of my tub now, but at least it's not catastrophic. Still, I’ll probably be chasing chunks of carbon for weeks. Lesson learned: the $65 filters from a specialty store—or a quality equivalent on Amazon—are worth every penny. These cheap knockoffs? Not so much.Buyer beware. I learned the hard way. You don’t have to.
