Purchase this saltwater trolling motoralmost 2 years ago for my 16 ft Carolina skiff. It's been working great so far. I always thoroughly rinse it off after using so that might help with the longevity. I have also banged it against the docks a couple times which cause no visible damage, so I feel like it's built fairly sturdy. I think that the remote control steering is a little tricky to get precise movements with, especially if there's a little wind blowing as well, but maybe that's normal. I haven't had a chance to test out the foot pedal controller but it seems like a nice additional feature to have, that way if the remote control battery runs out (which it never has on me) you could swap it out for the foot pedal which runs off of your boat battery by means of hooking up directly to the trolling motor. I would definitely purchase one again considering that these are half to about 1/3 the price of the name brand motors. Highly recommend.

Ran my boat this week and operated my trolling motor, Works great

I mounted this trolling motor on my 18ft Key Largo boat. Works great. The only issue was when mounting the quick release bracket to the motor some of the inserts in the holes began to spin not allowing the bolt to be seated all the way. Used a self tapping screw in their place.

The remote turn control could be finer ie, the smallest correction should be smaller.
