Edited - Buy your own tape and be gentle, be careful of resold units
2 sided tape wouldn’t properly hold. The soldered leads broke and made the strip unusable.I bought a second one. This one was in better condition. I’m thinking the first one may have been a return and sold again. So, look for tell-tale signs of a previous owner. The second one performed as described, solid connections, and solder points.I still didn’t bother with the included tape. Just as before it peeled off the back of the lights instead of off of the tape. 3m double sided tape holds it perfectly.I changed my rating from 2 stars to 4.

It's not terrible
**EDIT**It's actually better than before now that I actually filled in the rest of the under-cabinetry. Still have the same opinion on the "whiteness" but again, it's only RGB, not RGBW, so i can't fault it too much. My kids are enjoying 'party mode', so there's that. The adhesive is still rubbish, but I had a whole stash of wall commanders to use. Best part? I think I only used maybe half of the 5m strip, so I think I'll purchase a standalone WiFi RGB controller and add some backlighting to my flatscreen. Still could be brighter, but that's just me wanting more. I'm satisfied with the purchase. Not a bad deal for eighteen bucks. PS - forgive my clutter. It was snack time and they wanted everything.**It's not that bad, actually. I was expecting something that didn't work, but connecting it to 2.4ghz was easy. Setup in the app was easy as well. My only and biggest problem is the "whiteness" of the strip. There's really no option for a good white balance. You can get something that's kind of workable if you change the color to a yellow or yellow/orange and adjust the saturation. Also, when using voice command to set the strip to white, it turns off, so go from colors to white is challenging. Probably because of the way the services differentiate between color profiles.Overall, not THAT bad, but also it could have been better. I have to keep in mind it is only RGB and not RGBW. So, works well out of the box - was up and running in a few minutes (once I realized I had to press the button to connect it), the colors other than white are pretty good. Could be brighter, but I think there's some current limiting happening given the amount of LEDs and how much power the wall adapter puts out. Also, the adhesive is no good, but I planned on using something else anyways. Conclusion: not too bad for the money. I mean, it's only like $18 so I don't expect too much out of it, but setup was easy. Using the app is no real hassle (I've read about the permissions it asks for and I didn't see any of that). For a budget WiFi enabled LED strip, it's not bad.

Incredible value for the $
Edit 6/10...Probably not the strip itself, but now Alexa is unable to control the brightness, only the color. Odd thing is brightness can still be controlled by the SmartLife app, as well as Google Home speakers. Needs a firmware update, but no one to contact, unfortunately. Original review: Firstly, the light Strip DOES display White, contrary to some reviewers. In the app it is called the “ Read” scene. Also Alexa and Google both will get white when asked. The tape is sticky enough, but you MUST clean the surface first. More than adequate brightness, Brighter than my Phillips hue strip and less than 1/6 the price! I do agree with the others that the tiny instructions sheet leaves a lot to be desired, but I’ve set up these kind of products before so of course that helps. For the price, I couldn’t be happier.

Worked at first...
Let me start by saying that i was super impressed with this light strip at first. I have only had it a few days but already the red light dont always work and the white setting just turns it off. When i first installed them in my kitchen they looked great and i would have rated them 5 stars. But now with the lights not working they way they did and the adhesive has already become worthless i just cant rate above a 2 star. Its a shame too because i really liked them at first.

Good for the cost
The overall hardest part is the app the app is very confusing and it took me a minute to understand how to get the app to work. The lights aren't sticky enough to stay attached to anything really, but the lighting and scenes are really nice, you can change the brightness and speed of which the colors change overall this is a good product of its cost but definitely get ones with better sticky backs

Exceeded expectations! Look no further....
I'm thrilled with these LED. Bright and vivid colors, easy to install and connect, work with the "Smart Life" app which is the best smart device control app there is in my opinion. The description is accurate and the shipping was fast. I bought these as a trial to see if they were worth the time and I'll be buying many more to complete my interior lighting project. I did a lot of research, save yourself the time and effort. You won't find a better option at a better price.

I thought I liked it
So I got this strip a couple of months ago. It wasn't quite as bright as I expected but I didn't mind too much. Everything was fine until I accidentally unplugged it last weekend and now it will no longer work. My app makes it seem like it's on but there's no light coming on anymore whatsoever. The lighting in my room is pretty bad so I was excited to have this around my mirror to help lighten things up a bit as well as help me with applying make up since it's so dim in my room. Wish I paid closer attention to the reviews here before I went through with the purchase because I'm really disappointed. 😒

Difficult Setup
Without real clear instructions, it was impossible to set these up via the recommended app. There are many other varieties that appear to be much easier to deal with. Plus, if you need to cut these to fit, the rest are useless. I'm going to try a different type like a light bar or individual stick ons that are battery powered.
