Lovely soft feeling cover. Safer than standard hot water bottles. An all around winner.
I wanted something to use in much the same way as a hot water bottle, and this does the job it is meant to do really well.Hot water bottles are great as an idea. Put hot or boiling water in the bottle and it keeps whatever it is touching warm or hot. But there are two main problems with standard hot water bottles:1. They go cold. Proper cold. So you have to push them away or out of the bed.2. Eventually they leak or burst. They are made of rubber, and rubber perishes. And a hot water bottle full of boiling water that bursts is really bad news. These Hotties heat packs solve both problems:1. They have a cover which is nice and soft, but also reflects your own body heat back rather than lets cold through when the inner pack has cooled down. So you don't have to push them away, and they won't wake you up in the middle of the night if your foot touches them when they have cooled.2. You heat them in the microwave, and they are not meant to get boling hot, but only nicely warm. So when they die it will be in the microwave and not in your bed. Much safer. You will never get scalded by using them as intended by following the microwave instructions. The instructions even tell you how to deal with them when they do eventually die in the microwave so you will always be safe with them.Because they are microwave only it does mean there is a size limitation. They are not as big as a standard rubber hot water bottle. But they are big enough to do the job. And the only real limitation in terms of microwaves is turntable size. If you have a small microwave they may be too big for the turntable (although you can roll them up a bit) so do check the dimensions and read the blurb before buying. If you have a flatbed (no turntable) microwave then you are golden as all you have to do is flip it over halfway through the cooking time to ensure it warms evenly. You can take the cover off and wash it very easily. This particular one has a very nice fleece type cover that is lovely to the touch and probably slightly better at reflecting your body heat back at you than the ones with animals (Owls/Penguins etc.) on them. The only potential problem as such is if you are using them more or less continually during the daytime so you need to know what to do when it has cooled a fair bit, but not quite back to room temperature. There are instructions included on reheating in 15 second bursts, but by far the better option is to buy more than one of them so you can pop a second one in the microwave and use it whilst the first one cools off completely. All in all, and as long as you understand that they are not meant to get boiling hot, they are absolutely fantastic and an all around winner.

Excellent product - please read
This product solves 2 age old problems with traditional hot water bottles and beanies...the scolding water with bottles and the awful sweaty lavender smell with beanies. Super easy to use...just make sure your microwave is big enough for it to turn freely inside. The heat doesn't last as long as a hot water bottle however it's only as thick as an empty hot water bottle and the heat is comparible. My Mrs takes this in the car with her on cold mornings, we take it on walks, and we use it on aching muscles. Thumbs up all round.

Skeptical after reading some reviews, but...
After looking at the reviews i was a bit skeptical about it, many people complained about it braking and leaking. I have used it for over two weeks every day (I like warming it up after dinner every night to help digestion) and i have had no problems. I followed the instructions as stated in the packaging ad it works well. The first time i took it out of the microwave i was tempted to put it in for longer as the outside cover wasn't too warm, but i decided to follow the instructions and wait a bit (I was scared it would leak after reading all the bad reviews). After less than a minute it was at a perfect temperature, a great comfortable temperature to keep for a prolonged period of time. Works better of a water bottle as it doesnt start really hot and cool off fast, but rather keeps a more consistent medium temperature for longer. I would highly recommend this product. Plus the outside cover is very soft on the skin.

Good Product
I do like this product if I need something that offers gentle warming. Do not expect this to be as hot as or retain the heat like a hot water bottle. But it serves its purpose for a good couple of hours. HOWEVER, BE WARNED............ my second Thermal Pack expanded to the size of a balloon in the microwave and was unuseable. It's better to microwave for one minute, turn it over and heat for another minute.

Easy to use and a good size
This is a microwavable pad in a fleece cover. Bung it in the microwave for a couple of minutes and it'll keep toasty for about an hour or more. It's safer than a hot water bottle (as long as you don't burst it by microwaving it for too long!)The cover is washable, and feels really nice.Maybe a bit expensive for what it is, but it will last a long time.

It's great to warm your feet on though
Heats well in microwave and holds heat for ages - BUT dont expect it to heat your bed. Heat transmitted is very localised. It's great to warm your feet on though.

No more scalding hot water!
I have been using Micro Hotties for about 15 years and wouldn't be without one now. You just need to pop them in the microwave for up to 2 minutes WITH THE COVER LEFT ON and they stay lovely and warm for hours :-) They are also nice and flat and don't have a big lump at one end like traditional hot water bottles, so you can lay on them comfortably to warm your back or bottom ;-)But NEVER microwave them for more than 2 minutes, as this can cause the outer layer of the actual pad to expand and it will never go back to normal! Therefore you must exercise caution if you are re-heating it and only heat it for one minute minutes initially, then take it out and check it to see if it is hot enough or if it needs another 20-30 seconds. I have accidentally heated mine for too long a couple of times and I then have to buy a replacement pad or a whole new Hottie.

Buon prodotto però mi aspettavo qualcosa in più come grado di calore ma diciamo che fa il suo dovere. Lo scaldo in microonde per 3-3.30 minuti e il calore dura all’incirca 2-2.30 ore.
