Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0 Studio Techniques Pap/DVD Edition

I have been using Premiere since the days of 5.0 - and I think I have been applying only those same skills to each upgrade I purchased -- with maybe adding just a few new tricks. Mr. Rosenberg's clear explanations and teaching have opened up a whole new world of Premiere editing for me, and my newest DVD effort is showing the results "in spades."The DVD included is just perfect. Adobe should ship this book with the software.

I highly recommend this book to anyone with very little or no Premiere experience.This book covers all major topics on video editing with PPro. It also gives you an insight in video post production, basic camera setup, lightning and special effects.I would recommend using this book as a reference, not as step by step guide. Keep practicing.!

The book was one penny! Yea, who wants an out-of-date book on Premiere 2.0? ME! Just paid small postage and book came in great shape with the bonus CD in the back. Good vendor and glad to do business with them.

Good if your job is video editing. Otherwise forget it. Don't buy this thinking you're going to learn how to edit your home videos.

This book is very good, especially if you have some previous experience with Premiere. The only thing I regret about it, is that there is not a version to cover Premiere CS3 (yet). I am not going to explain any further about this book's qualities since all the other previous positive reviews cover everything already. All I can say is that I can recommend this to anybody who is not a complete novice on Adobe Premiere.

In-depth look at an older version of Premiere in an easy-to-understand format. Adobe offers Premiere 2.0 free on their site and this book is the perfect way to get going quickly.

I started reading Jacob's Rosenberg's training books when I started using Adobe's Premiere Pro 1.5.His 1.5 book was incredibly helpful during the initial introduction to Premiere's layout, functions, and features.Then from time to time I reference it for hints and tips on items such as picture in picture editing, color correction, and the like.With the release of Premiere Pro 2.0, I went right for Jacob's new book as soon as it was available.Jacob Rosenberg has a unique way to clearly explain the workflow ins and outs of this software in a manner that makes learning it almost as fun as using it!I use this book, and previously Jacob's 1.5 book, when introducing Premiere Pro 2.0 to fellow editors whether through summer video editing seminars or when working on professional projects.Thank you Jacob Rosenberg for making this book available. It stands well on its own, and is especially complimentary to your Total Training DVD Series.

OK, let me cut right to it. I am a very picky student. Having worked as a technical training I expect a lot out of training materials.A few, but not all, or my expectations are:* A logical flow from lesson to lesson* Clear and concise explanations* Real-work applications* The trainer demonstrating he/she is not only a subject matter expert, but also a great teacher."* To have fun and get inspired!* Lot and lots of value for my money* Well edited materialsI think the Adobe Press series is great at this, and the shining example in the series at the moment is Premiere Pro 2.0 Studio Techniques by Jacob Rosenberg.If this sounds like a plug for the author you're right. His materials have gotten me up and running faster than any other training tools I have come across. Honestly.Trust me when I say if you are using (or plan to use) Premiere you want this book on your shelf. (note: you should also get the Total Training DVD series Jacob hosts. I used 1.5 while learning on 2 and it was great. I know the new version must be even better.OK, don't trust me. Go to the store and flip through this book. I would bet money you will buy it.
