Initial 2 months
After a couple months of installation the camera still is working fine. Has it's quirks, like fog or rain gives a lost of ghosting. Zooming to our front get is GREAT.UPDATE: POE died, had to install power pack next to unit and power it directly. (yes, poe+ line was tested with two other PHYLINK cameras and are fine).UPDATE UPDATE: Installed local Power Supply and worked until May 16th ... barely 6 months and now is completely DEAD. JUNK!! Who cares about 2 year warranty when your depending on the camera for security and having to return.9 Month Update! SUPPORT worthless too after almost 9 months they have never fixed this unit after stating the POE board had died.

Strong offering at this price!
This is my first PTZ, and I am currently using it with ZoneMinder (with video + remote control). It was a bit of a gamble because I couldn't find many other people using these with ZM, but the RTSP stream obviously works out of the box, and turns out so does the PTZ functionality via ZM's Netcat ONVIF profile!Image looks good, but you'll probably want to tone down some of the more aggressive processing functions like WDR and BLC. Sure you can see a tad more of dark portions of the image with them on, but it tends to wash out color and oversaturate other parts. Disabling Slow Shutter is a MUST for minimizing blur at night and honestly isn't required. I keep the noise reduction off too because I prefer a more "straight from the sensor" image. That said, the infrared lighting is more than adequate, and there are so many settings to fiddle with that you can really tune it how you want. The "low and wide beams" are on by default at night. But zoom in beyond 50% (around 11X) and the "high and tight beam" comes on. I can easily spot deer hundreds of feet away in the woods at max zoom and complete darkness. It's actually crazy how far away you can see.You can tell the shutter speed is quite slow at night in order to produce a decent image brightness. Appears to near a 1/4 second, which will certainly give you some blur when tracking moving objects. Not uncommon though, and only more expensive PTZ's can really beat this. The one suuuuper annoying thing is that the web interface for this camera is quirky, slow, and old. This is why I must give a lower "Easy to install" rating... It uses ActiveX controls you must install prior to usage, and only works over Internet Explorer. Good thing is, once it's all configured how you like it, you never have to touch this stuff again. Just view and control from your surveillance solution like ZoneMinder. Can't comment on durability since I haven't had it long. But maybe it's a good idea to not have the thing constantly moving around? I set up the first 10 presets for different areas of interest, which make up Cruise 1 in the OSD (On-Screen Display). This means that after a chosen number of seconds without any control input from me, the camera automatically starts looking at each preset location for a chosen number of seconds. This is really nice because you're constantly getting visuals on a wide variety of areas without doing anything. The motors inside are noticeable if you're a few feet away from it. Plus, any ill-intentioned people may notice the camera moving around and become paranoid. :)Overall this thing is amazing for the price. It's a legit 20X zoom and yields very good image with a bit of tuning. 20FPS is great, although many times you'll want to go lower to reduce storage space and system load on your surveillance system. I think this is a great inexpensive-yet-powerful camera!

Best camera I have found for the money, period.
I started with a 10x bullet camera, and that set the standard for me, but it was not strong (magnification) as I needed it to be, so the search was on.Well, as anyone else would have assumed, I purchased a 30x camera to get three times the magnification. That did not happened. The first one (30x) camera, was actually around a 8x zoom compared to the 10x bullet camera. So, I returned it and purchased a different brand 30x camera, but the same problem presented itself. I sent that one back and purchased a 20x camera hoping for the best, but I could not get that one to work at all. I had all but given up when I found this one and I ordered it vowing that if this one did not work, I would give up.Well, this one hit the mark. It is actually a 20x camera that works with many software packages and mobile apps. If you want, you can leave on a computer and record to a local or networked hard drive that is ported to your computer. I tried that and it worked fine. The network hard drive I have is a Synology NAS so I decided to try the Surveillance Station software that is included with the drive software. This also worked well and it kept me from having a computer on all day and night. Regrettably though this camera does not have a SD card slot to have memory on the camera itself like many cameras in case there was a problem you could download the file from the camera and still have access to the surveillance. You can also use many different apps to gain access to the live views from the camera, and that has many uses. I setup an old tablet in a few rooms to use as a warning system for my front drive/door. When the app detects motion it alarms so I can see what the problem is, and if it is a delivery person, I can be at the door before they knock. At night, this has its advantages also, because you can monitor different zones (front drive/door and backdoor) for intruders as long as your camera can see both areas like mine can. (it is up on a 70ft tower about 100ft from my house)If you simply put it at the corner eve of your house, you can go from side to side watching the 2 sides of your home. To monitor 4 sides you would need 2 cameras. You can also watch your vehicles for undesirables trying to gain access to them. Now, on the top of my tower, 100ft from my home, I can monitor 3 sides of my home, my front with drive area, my one side, and my back doors with my backyard. I have the camera setup to spend 15 seconds on the front, 5 seconds on the one side, and 10 seconds on the back area. This setup provides an almost continuous surveillance of crucial areas of my home with one camera. So, out of every minute, I spend 30 seconds on the front area, 20 seconds on the back area, and 10 seconds on the side area of my house. It would take a speed demon to outrun surveillance of this magnitude.I also do weather spotting with this camera during the daylight hours, and this is one reason why I wanted the 20x zoom, so I can reach out there. The 20x zoom also comes in handy making my zones smaller by zooming in on the specific area I want monitored, and if my software senses motion, it will alert me.Another reason for the 20x zoom is so I can see where my antennas are pointed on my tower. I can see my internet service providers antennas atop the water tower over 2.5 miles away from my location. I can also see another ISP antenna at 5 miles away in the other direction. This allowed me to choose which antenna I would point at during the setup of my internet. This camera makes a very good Tower camera. I am very pleased with its performance such far.The camera footage (live or recorded) also has the digital zoom so you can manipulate your screen as you choose to see what you must. Granted, the digital zoom is better, but sometimes it is just necessary to zoom in a bit more to see what you must.Well, I have not used the included software very much, but I will and I will update this review about its performance at a later date. I am still getting used to this IP camera, and my Synology drive & software so I will play with the included software as time permits. So if you are looking for a camera that can reach out there and bring things into view, then this is the camera for you. In the 200 dollar range, I have not been able to find a better one. Granted the manual says this is a value series camera, there are more expensive ones, but not necessarily better ones than this. I tried many cameras, starting with the 10x camera that performed rather well, to some stinkers that did not work well at all, and then I found this one that did EXACTLY what it said it is supposed to do.Kudos Sumba for providing a well made product and if I have made a mistake in my review please let me know. (the part about the sd card) I have not found a place to insert one like the others have.Paul

Terrible product, 50% reliability, constant disconnects...security flaws
I should have returned this long ago instead made the horrible mistake of trying to fix it. I thought it was my network, maybe config settings. Wasted so many hours trying to fix this. No, just a horrendous product from a company that pays no attention to product development or support. NO SUNBA EVER AGAIN.
