How did I get by so long without one of these?
I used to make cookies by rolling up the dough with my hands, which is fine if the cookie dough is a little firm and sticky. Cookie dough that's soft does not roll so much as squish. I used this for the first time a couple of weeks ago with some very soft, pumpkin cookie dough, and it was a game changer! I could scoop up fairly evenly sized bunches of dough and use the handle to push them out of the spoon area onto the cookie sheet quickly and precisely. Because the dough was so soft, they still weren't exactly uniform in size and shape, but they were infinitely more so than they would have been if I had used my hands. The only reason I took one star off was that I found it difficult to get a spatula into the little spoon area to scrape out the dough that had stuck in there. But if being unable to get every last bit of cookie dough onto the baking sheet is the price I pay for easier baking, I'll take it! Definitely recommended. I'm a convert!

Could be heavier duty-
Not as heavy duty as I expected. I was hoping for one as sturdy as my #60. It is the right size for big cookies or meatballs-

I ordered this cookie scoop and am very pleased with the quality of the product. The price was great and it worked great getting the cookie dough out with the trigger. I would definitely order this again!

Good scoop for the money
Heavy feel but not smooth scooping. Worth the price, but if you're looking for something to use long term or often, I'd invest in something else
