TONS of info on google.My outside compressor was just humming, but the fan was not moving. I shut down the unit via the breaker. Took pics of the wiring. Got a volt meter and tested for current. Used insulated tools to disconnect and short out the capacitor.Mounted and wired the new unit back up. All test good.Works.The way i knew I needed this was that the A/C was running in the house but it was blowing room temp air; the compressor outside was humming and the fan was not spinning.
