Beware, this is only 40 inches long and will not properly wrap most masts
Double check, This item is available in both 40 inch and 10 foot lengths, however, only the 40 inch seems to be offered here. Big Mistake as this is not long enough to wrap most masts on a 30 foot boat or higher. This was nothing but a loss for me and I found an alternate place to order the 10 foot length.

Easy to Use
Used this product as a mast boot for my 32 foot sloop. I had used one of those so called "universal" mast boots previously but wanted to give this a try. This product worked much better. Just take your time. Make sure you remove the plastic film, slowly wrap around the mast with tension. This tape will form very nicely to the mast shape and the deck fitting which the mast attaches to or goes through. Nice seal against the mast. Key is to take your time and plan ahead on how you will apply. Whats nice about this is that you can correct any wrinkles. Good value.

Remove the backing
This works well. You really need two sets of hands, though. And do you need to be sure to remove the backing on one side. When applying, stretch the “tape” a lot and allow the tape to adhere to itself. It’s not adhesive, otherwise.

Works very well.
We used this to tape up our mast boot this weekend. The tape is self-adhesive -- it sticks to itself, but is not sticky to the touch. Because of this, the surface you're sticking to doesn't have to be especially well prepped or cleaned, and there's no sticky residue left behind. The tape was also pretty forgiving -- we thought we'd screwed up at first, but were able to stretch it out and smooth the wrinkles in our bad work.The instructions forgot to mention the peel-off backing tape -- this should be removed peeled off as you go.

Best solution ever for a mast boot!
I just installed this for the second time after pulling and re-installing my mast. It is the simplest, cleanest looking, and most functional solution to a mast boot I have ever seen. It just works great.

Mast Boot
The package I received had no adhesive properties. Did not work as a mast boot.

Did not hold onto my mast.
The ringhing tape did not hold onto my mast at all. The cheaper flex tape worked.
