Not bad
I bought this for the y580 knowing well it did not have a backlight and screws will not line up (will need to remove those). The keyboard is actually quite loud, If you can put some extremely thin stick pads, it will reduce the typing noise. I'm happy since the original had 5 bad keys. $59 original part vs $13. I'd give up the backlite anyday. Remember to reuse the plastic clip on the old cable. You'll know what i'm talking about.

Nice replacement
Nice keyboard replacement. My only grip would be the very plastic feeling -- the original had a softer feelThe typing feel, the click, is very close if not the same feel as the original. I replace the Original Keyboard because I had wore the letters off some of the keys. It was an easy change and works as it should. Maybe the plasticy feel will subside with use, when the high polish wears down? A nice Keyboard and very close to the original. I would buy it again.
