I have a natural wave to my hair, but my hair doesn't air dry evenly. And I'm also pretty low-maintenance and lazy when it comes to my hair--I don't like spending a ton of time on it.So I looked into buying a diffuser and I found this great item. Now I just towel dry my hair to damp, apply a product to help manage frizz and protect my hair, and then use the diffuser on hot & low. After trying different methods to figure out what works best, I have moved away from the tedious procedures I read online. Instead, I don't use any clips to separate my hair, just start from the under layer, grab a chunk of hair, twist it up a bit, lay it in the diffuser head, and roll it around against my scalp for a few seconds. Repeat a few times all over my head, looking for areas that appear flat. I don't dry it until it's bone-dry, just enough for it to hold shape. My hair is dry with a voluminous, beachy wave in about 7 minutes.I have tried the flat attachment but I'm not good at using it yet so I won't speak to its quality.I have read other reviews that mentioned issues with getting the attachments on, or them melting. I haven't had any of these issues. I just press them firmly, straight into the dryer and they're good to go.

My hair has been a disaster for weeks while I wait to get in an appointment for a cut. My old drier cramped out so I ordered the MHU infrared drier and tried it out for the first time today. I also got a Cristalbic boar bristle barrel brush. The combination resulted in my first non bad hair day in far too long. My hair was smooth and not frizzy, yet had plenty of volume. Previously it was frizzy on the ends and flat on top. The drier and brush worked a true miracle. Even after being outside in a windy dog park, my hair remained glossy and smooth. So happy and almost thinking I can further postpone that haircut. Ok, that is going too far but I can’t stress enough what a difference this drier with a new brush made. Love it.

This is a revised review as of 9/18. I have naturally curly gray hair and need to use a diffuser exclusively. The diffuser on this dryer comes off 3-4 times every use. It is very annoying!!! Totally frustrating to pick it up off the floor every time I bump it with one of my hands or it bumps against my head.Original review: I love this hair dryer, though a little on the heavy side, which I hope will make it more durable. The reason I didn't give it a 5 is because the control buttons are poorly placed and I'm constantly hitting them by mistake, therefore changing the settings. The manufacturer might consider offsetting them somewhat, although maybe others aren't bothered by the placement.

I see many 5 star ratings, but I see room for improvement with this blow dryer. If you just want to dry your hair, not style it...or if you have hair that takes a lot of time to dry, then this would be very good for you. But, I have a helix cut and my hair needs to be dried with the diffuser attachment on the low blowing setting. On "low", it still blows too hard. The LOW setting should be "toned down" .Also, the buttons you push could be placed better than they are... It is easy to hit the cool button when you don't want to.And a real biggie is the way the Diffuser attachment attaches to the dryer. Not Good. It pops of VERY easily...I don't know about the other attachments...I haven't used them..........I really liked my old Benson Blow dryer, but I believe they were discontinued....But the other day I came across the Benson Diffuser attachment. It fit on this one that I am rating....It just pushed on very well, and now it is quite snug on the MHU, and I am not constantly picking the diffuser from the floor after it pops off.

I bought this after my barely used ”ghd” EXPENSIVE dryer broke ...after 3 months. I happened to see this dryer as an Amazon “daily deal”. I was in a great need for a dryer, so without reading reviews or researching anything (something I NEVER do) I just bought this one figuring it would last at least long enough for me to research a better one later on. As it turned out this is the BEST dryer I’ve ever used! It dries my hair faster and with less damage ( which is why I went with the expensive one first - this one is far better) I was shocked as I’m never one to declare that ANY product is the best of its kind - but this thing is and I’m so happy I just randomly bought it as I’ve never even heard of this brand.
