This lock was easy to install and program, exactly as advertised. After reinforcing the jam with a steel plate I turned a basement storage room into a secure vault for both a safe room and a place to store things that are valuable or keepsakes. I didn't want a keypad with batteries, since it will be on a shed that isn't heated. Like others said installation was kind of annoying. In particular getting the lower screw to thread. If the handle was removable this wouldn't really be an issue. Also worth mentioning that your "combination" once set can be entered in any order, meaning its not as secure as say a simplex lock, but at a fraction of the price, I'll take it.

Read the installation instructions completely. If you follow the step by step guide the product will work flawlessly, otherwise you may have problem if you try to install without reading and following directions.

The media could not be loaded. Challenging review for me. A small outside door with a glass panel - very little room for a mechanical lockset. I would have bought the brand i have on my front door - same brand you see airport doors - but it wouldn’t fit. There is no other mechanical push button choice which has a thin profile that would fit.So i tried this one. 5 stars for quality of the device and build.2 stars for the fact the handle only works in 1 direction [virtually all locksets in the USA you can pull it up, or push it down to open a door. Ditto for the airport quality one on my front door. But not this one - it only works in one direction. and that is important because….In the USA, the distance between the handle lockset and the deadbolt is standard. So if you have a deadbolt you cannot put this one with a deadbolt because it would hit the deadbolt. Of course you could move the deadbolt down to the handle hole and put this higher where the deadbolt hole is… but then kids cannot easily reach the handle.So the obvious answer [which i did on my front door] is flip the push button panel so it’s below the handle and fits standard USA locksets. So i did that… but this handle ONLY works in ONE direction - so if you do that - you have to lift the handle UP or it does not work. AND if you push the handle down - because it only works in one direction - it resets the code you just entered.So i did that anyway because there are no other mechanical lock sets i could find anywhere that are this thin and fit my glass panel door. And no i don’t trust digital locksets personally and there is the whole “remember to replace the battery thing”.see the video attached. i turn the camera away when entering my code, try the handle downward - nothing but resets the buttons. enter the code and pull it up - and works fine. Should go without saying that if you mount it upside down so it doesnt hit the deadbolt.. there is no ability to fit the plate with the codes upside down to read them normally.Keeping it because no choice for me, and like i said, quality strong build that i trust the strength of.val

Complicated to install. I had to pay a locksmith to install it. They're great. Locks each time the door is closed so forgetting to lock the doors isn't an issue. Easy to reset factory combination and the combination is easy to memorize, plus it can be unlocked in the dark with muscle memory.

This is a very heavy duty, high quality door lock. I love that it is mechanical and no longer have to worry about the batteries in the lock, if the lock is charged, etc. The installation time and effort was about typical (I say this as the person who watched it be replaced not the husband who actually replaced it - but he wasn't cursing or complaining). The auto lock feature is a new one with us and gives you peace of mind to never have to worry if you locked the door when you leave the house again.

Yet to get full experience,so far good
