herlitzmax.File Protect A4 Double-Lever Arch File - Red

Sturdy, good capacity and just small enough to fit on their side in a filing cabinet drawer
I have been struggling to find a good quality 4 ring binder to hold pocket pouches when I stumbled across these - and VERY pleased to find them. Whilst there are several good capacity sprung loaded 4 D-ring presentation folders on the market they all have the disadvantage that they don't work well when stored on edge (rather than on end) - typically at >29cm "width" they are too deep to stand in a filing cabinet drawe; when fully loaded the weight can cause the rings to open and they don't have the clamps of lever arch files. These double lever arch files suffer from none of these problem being slightly more compact than D-ring folders and having solid lever mechanisms with clamps. I would actually give them 4.8 out of 5 as I would have liked the covers to be slightly thicker (like some of the best presentation folders) but they are right up there with the quality of the best brands of regular lever arch files, so this is a small quibble! Note that these files have a full 70mm capacity and the slightly cheaper grey/black/natural file also available at Amzon is slightly smaller. Very pleased with these and surprised that they aren't stocked more widely.

Keeps your documents safe
A replacement for part of my filing system, this is an excellent, good quality, well made lever arch file. Surprised to find to separate lever arch assemblies fitted, but matches a standard 4-hole paper punch exactly.

Pricey but effective
Ridiculously expensive for what they are but ultimately they seem well made and do the job they're supposed to do. Internally there are two paper clamps: One across the uppermost two prongs and one across the lowermost two prongs.

Nice quality, less strain on the page holes. Recommended
Nice quality file. I got this to make up a large, robust photo album for family pictures, after my Dad passed away at Christmas. I got a pack of A4 black card for the pages and photo mounts. It is coming along nicely, the 4 lever arch bars mean there is less strain on the page holes and pages can be turned easily.I liked it so much that I got another for my personal paperwork storage.

Thoroughly recommended
I bought two of these, one to keep my personal paperwork tidy and the other to make up a large photo album. They are perfect for the jobs, because of the four rings the pages stay straight, without tearing around the holes. The covers are quite hard wearing, with a metal trim around the bottom to prevent scuffing. I can thoroughly recommend these.
