2 Litre Rostio Tank Rust Remover + 500 ml Tank Protection Emulsion Tank Sealing set – Tank Rust Removal Made Easy

I haven’t ridden my SV650S for 9 years since the kids came along. When I opened the tank I was gutted to see the caked rust flakes. I did a bit of research and found Rostio. To be honest I wasn’t expecting to much but I couldn’t believe the results. The dilution was 10:1 per litre of hot water. My tank is approx 15 litres so I just used the two bottles to give it a bit more strength. I also bought a cheap immersion heating element from eBay and let it bubble for about 8 hours. I then wrapped it in old blankets to keep the heat in and left it for approximately 40 hours. I emptied the tank and flushed it out with cold water several times until all the rust flakes and crude were gone. There was a lot of rust pieces and I needed to swirl the tank and fast flush it to remove any flakes left behind. I then swirled the tank out with the Rostio emulsion to help protect the tank from further rusting. The results are amazing! Its a little more expensive than using litres of white vinegar but IMO Rostio is quicker and it leaves a professional job. I would definitely recommend this product. Just follow the instruction and you will also be pleased with the results.

I was derusting a Kawasaki Z750 tank that had been left outside for nearly 4 years, when I got the tank off and drained the fuel it was awful. There were large chunks of rust and water in the fuel, most of the inside was peppered with rust and I genuinely thought that the tank was past redemption(nearly £1000 to replace from Kawasaki!). I removed the tank cap, fuel sender unit and the fuel pump and purchased some large corks to seal the holes. I made up the solution as recommended and left it in the tank. As I couldn't keep the solution hot I just left it for over a week, turning the tank and swilling the solution around on a daily basis. RESULT, the tank is almost completely free of rust, I emptied the solution and swilled out the tank a few times and then then used the supplied sealant to make sure no further rusting occurred. I have an NC29 Honda CBR400RR to work on next and I'm hoping for the same excellent results.

The tank rust remover worked brilliant removed alot of rust from my tank and showed a few tiny holes after so had to repair but be careful not to put on paint work has luck i had to do some repair to tank and respray as of tank sealer that didn't do any to seal it but other products were brilliant

Worked a treat. Tank looks like new. I used 2 litres. So 20 litres when diluted as i wanted tank full to the top.

Old tank that was rusty on inside work very well lot less agro than the epoxy ones or what ever are ones that never seem to go off this stuff works well for me 100 %.

Bought 2 bottles to do a 16 litre motorcycle tank. It was a slightly stronger mix (instructions say to dilute with 9 litres of water per 1 litre of product) but worked a treat and removed all the rust in the tank. Really happy with the results. Just a word of warning, if you decide to leave the tank for more than a couple of days, make sure you remove the fuel tap and any other item NOT made of steel. I decided I would leave it for a week (I wasn’t in a hurry) but after 6 days, I couldn’t understand why the whole tank had drained all over my garage floor overnight. Turns out it had actually started to dissolve the fuel tap itself as it’s made of white metal and ate a large hole in it! Fortunately I had a spare tap.

I used rostio about 5 years back with fantastic results. Then after a daft thing 'brexit' I was unable to get it anymore in the UKNow however, thanks to Amazon and Rostio I can get it again!Cost for the result is fantastic, I used another resin based product, followed the instructions to the letter and it didn't go off. Ruined a fuel sender and petcock.Stripped it out and replaced it with Rostio (once I could get it again) and now done 2 fuel tanks with it

utilizzato su un serbatoio con ruggine sparsa.. ho lasciato il primo prodotto per 3 giorni nel serbatoio con acqua a temperatura ambiente ed ha comunque tolto tutta la ruggine dentro; poi dopo una risciacquata ho buttato l'isolante e direi che come da foto il risultato è ok e la ruggine sparita. unica nota che non era scritta, con il primo prodotto ho riempito di acqua fino all'orlo ed il giorno dopo ho trovato gocce d'acuqa e prodotto fuori dal serbatoio, dovute probabilmente alla reazione chimica tra prodotto e ruggine; le gocce non hanno macchiato la vernice ma fate comunque attenzione.

Franchement super. Reservoir z750 pas utilisé depuis 9 ans. Sur les photos on voit bien le avant après. Par contre bien mettre la protection juste après avoir rincé le réservoir.
