HERCULES Super Tough Braided Fishing Line 4 Strands / 8 Strands, 4lb - 160lb Braid Lines, 150/300/500/1000 Yards for Saltwater

I've been thinking about getting this braid for a while now because of the price, but the right chance hasn't come up. However, after I created a new setup for surf fishing, I figured I had spent enough money already and wanted to get some cheap braid, so I finally bought this stuff. I got 500 yards of 50lb braid for only 20$, which is an amazing deal. And it's a good braid too it's really strong, smooth, and light, everything you want in a braid. Filled my 11000 size spool and tried this line in the surf, and it works great, this stuff holds well, so it was really easy to tie my Alberto knot. I also really enjoy this "blue camo" color because it reminds me of ocean colors, which is why I picked it for my surf reel, with the bonus that it's easy to see for me and the people walking on the beach. It casts very smoothly and very far with ease. There were a couple of times I messed up my surf cast with a very heavy load on (which can definitely break your line, knot, etc), but it didn't even break. I was amazed thinking I lost my rig, but it was still there. Never even got a wind not in 15 mph winds either.

Item arrived as described, just finished spooling my Penn Battle IV 6000 series, the camouflage color looks really great! Braid feels good and very easy to tie many different knots...In the pass I've lost a lot of big fish because of jagged terrain so I can't wait to see how this braid will hold up against the pounding surf and jagged reef, maybe I can finally land those big ones that got away.

I’ve been using this line on a 5ft ultralight setup and it’s been putting in WORK after a few hard weeks of fishing (8-10hrs per day) it starts to fade, not really a deal breaker in my case may be for you, however the quality the feel and the responsiveness when getting a bite is truly impressive.

Have not actually used the line yet, but I can comment about what I have seen and felt so far.When I was spooling the line onto my new 1500 reel, I noticed something odd. So the line I chose was the 4lb blue ombré braid. While loading onto my reel, I grabbed a Kleenex to pinch the line while I was reeling in to give some tension. Every time it got to the dark blue sections, it started to seize up while reeling. I discovered that inside the Kleenex where I was keeping tension, dark blue dye was coming off of the line and collecting onto the Kleenex. It was like a little glob of black crust that stuck to the line.I have never gotten colored line before, and maybe this is perfectly normal for braided line for the dye to come off, but it was an odd experience coming from mono fluorocarbon line. Not gonna be able to put the line into use for another month in the Sierras, but that is my initial experience that was concerning.The line diameter is super thin and I hope this makes casting light lures easier. We will see about the dark stained parts of the line, if they stick, fade, or behave differently. Hope it works well because the price is great.

I've bought fishing line from other sellers junk over and over this one was different put it on my saltwater rod casted 2lbs of weight worked great tied the line to my fence post put a fish weight between the line pulled till the line broke mind you the line was 40 lb test it broke at 74 lbs I'll buy more

This is great line!I sent it to my son in Kodiak Ak.He was impressed with it so he rigged up the reel I bought as well..super strong line, smooth, and he had a little left over. Not enough for another reel but, something else I bought 100lb test for ALASKA HALIBUT

Very nice looking braid . Color is very good. It does rub off on to your finger so im sure its going to fade. Can't wait to ho use it this weekend. Looks great on my 4000 tsunami reel.
