A great product
I'm paralyzed but not bedridden. I needed something to relieve pressure while sleeping. Setup is simple. The pic shows the motor hanging from the end of the bed but the instructions state to place it on a headboard. I did the headboard thing but the way the air hoses attach to the motor made that awkward. The power cord is shorter that the length of a twin xl bed so I added an extension cord and it works fine hanging from the foot of the bed. I recommend letting it fully inflate the first time before adding a sheet. Out of the package both ends hung over the mattress. Once inflated they didn't. It releases air as the pressure cycles so it isn't hot for sleeping. It does not fully deflate when turned off and I have found it inflates when I'm laying on it. I turn on the motor and then get in bed. The motor is quiet and makes less noise than a fan. The instructions suggest making the inflation static when sleeping so you'll not be disturbed. I use the alternating pressure while sleeping and it hasn't interfered with my sleep.

I WOULD LOOK ELSEWHERE IF I WERE U
IF U ENJOY SWEATING LIKE A PIG (YES I KNOW, PIGS DON'T SWEAT) THEN THIS IS THE PAD FOR U. I TRIED 1, THEN 2, THEN 3 SHEETS TO LAY ON TOP AND I STILL WOKE UP IN A PUDDLE OF SWEAT. TRIED A BLANKET, TO COVER IT WITH, SAME PROBLEM. TOWELS, NOPE. I GAVE UP. THAT WAS PROBLEM #1. PROBLEM #2 WAS THAT IT WAS SLIPPING AND A SLIDING ALL DAY LONG. SLIPPERRY ON THE BOTTOM, SLIPPERY AND SWEATY ON THE TOP. SO I INVITED FAMILY AND FRIENDS OVER FOR A MURDER PARTY. WE HAD A BLAST. WE MURDERED THAT PAD , CHOPPED IT INTO 100 PIECES AND THEN HAD A BURIAL. AND THAT LADIES AND GENTLEMEN IS ALL IT WAS WORTH. WE HAD SO MUCH FUN I GOT MY MONIES WORTH AFTER ALL. OH, AS FOR FOR HOW THE PAD WORKED WITH THE AIR CHAMBERS...IT WORKED FANTASTIC. SO, IF U ENJOY SWEATING AND SLIDING AROUND AS NIGHT, KNOCK YOURSELF OUT AND HAVE A SLIPPERY PARTY. ME, I BOUGHT A BUNCH OF REUSEABLE ICE PACKS AND THEY WORK GREAT AND I DO NOT SWEAT NOR DO I SLIDE AROUND.

Well done
Needs to be aired out a bit bc it smells of plastic which isn’t a surprise. Motor is quiet. Bed is comfy for an ALS patient and shifts are gentle.

It's ok, but too short
My husband is bed ridden and this is much more comfortable than the ones with bumps. That being said, it's too short and constantly slips down to the foot of the bed, bunching up. Also, the inflation hoses leave marks on my husband's legs, if he happens to get one them because of their placement. KiI have to put padding on them to prevent it. It serves it's purpose, but I won't buy another one.

Excellant.
The doctor said to use the alternating mode not the sleep mode as night. Quiet at night.

Not made for an adjustable bed
I am a C5/6 Tetraplegic: 5'8": 130lbs: XL Hospital Bed. I just recovered from a Stage 4 Wound on my tailbone. I bought this because my previous air mattress had the "diamond" air chambers which were better for my recovery, and sleeping on my side, but when on my back they caused my Ankle Contracture Boots to move around. Now that I'm healed, I wanted a long-term solution.PROS: 1. Quiet motor 2. The tubular air chambers keep my body in line, and my boots are stable. 3. Comfort: The smaller size of the tubular chambers, and how it supports my body, while relieving the pressure, made for a great night's sleep.CONS: 1. The description said this was 75", but when blown up it's only 70". 2. There's no panels to tuck under the mattress and when I sit up it bunches under my upper torso. 3. The air hoses were a bit short.PLEASE make one that accommodates an XL hospital bed and has panels!

IT WORKS
The media could not be loaded. This thing has exceeded my expectations when my grandma was able to come home last year I bought this as a quick solution to bed sores (she was in a Skilled Nursing Facility and ended up with a really bad bed sore because they did not do their job) I was looking into the more expensive low air loss systems that cost $600 plus because I wanted to make sure we were getting a good product for her. The reviews at the time said this thing usually quit or tore after 3 to 6 months but I have not had a single issue with that, they were also remarks about the pump going out or breaking but again that has not been an issue and it has ran 24/7 for 12 months now.It is very quiet compared to the ones at the hospital and other facilities and the only time I hear it is when it's cycling( i will try to add a video )we have had no complaints about the comfort, it sits on top of a foam type mattress that came with the hospital bed and it's usually at different angles throughout the day sometimes folded in a complete L shape, and Grandma it says it's working good and doesn't need a new one, we keep the firmness or pressure setting at about 1/3 but I don't know that it actually does anything and it feels soft and firm at the same time.I guess to sum it up the mattress has been working great for 12 months, the pump works, we have no tears, and she says it's comfortable,For less than $100 this is a stealIn the video it takes about 20 to 30 seconds to cycle and then it's quiet for 6 minutes or however long it's cycle is( and my phone picks up the pump noise a lot better than I can actually hear it LOL)

Didn't like feel
This didn't make the bed better. The long tubes going across are not as good as the other one with pockets that fill with air.
