2 of them were dead, the other 4 worked though

Edit: the seller reached out and worked with me to replace the 2 damaged units. 10/10 on customer service. At the time of this edit I have already purchased from them again and will absolutely consider using them for future purchases.2 of 6 units were dead on arrival. The other 4 work fine with a smooth linear motion.

I don't know what's up with this design, but I've been seeing it around lately. These are a very, very basic design and not a good one at that. These are not really dual channel. Both outputs are tied to the same VCC. That is, you only need to connect one VCC and GND pin to power both outputs. The output is split in parallel -- you can clearly follow the traces on the PCB -- and both are actually 5k and not 10k. I do not understand this design choice. It should really be two *separate* VCC inputs and two separate outputs. These will still work for simple projects, like controlling lights, but know what you're getting.

I got these for future projects, but they work as described when hooked up to an oscilloscope. I have no complaints about them. They are twice as big as I expected, but I didn't take the time to convert the mm measurements listed so that is my fault. They would make for a nice DIY soundboard or synth. I don't think I'll ever need to buy more, but if I did I would consider these in the future.

Work as expected, being linear, working and all. Using it for a deej audio volume software mixer project.
