Excellent Purchase
After moving to college last September, I found myself in need of a set of wheels. I came across the Ridge Board when browsing Amazon, and after reading the overwhelmingly positive reviews, I made the purchase. Boy, am I glad I did. Allow me to explain why the ridge board deserves every bit of these five stars:Portability:Since I am in college, I have to sit in lecture halls filled with 400 students. The ridge board is nice and compact, allowing me to easily carry it past other students to get to my seat, and tuck it under my chair during lecture. Additionally, it only weighs five pounds, so when I am in an indoor place like the library, it is not a burden to carry.Easy to Learn:Before I got the ridge, I had never skated in my life. When I got the board it only took me about 3 days to really get the hang of it. The large amount of foot space makes it easy to stay balanced, even when going at higher speeds.Build Quality / Durability:The ridge board is extremely durable and meant to last. In the past 5 months, it has been dropped, kicked, and jumped on (albeit lightly). Through all of this, there is still no signs of snapping or cracks. The trucks are sturdy and the wheels are quite durable as well; all the materials feel like they are of high quality and not “cheap.” I have ridden this board in the rain, on sandy surfaces, and in sunlight, and none of these environmental conditions have damaged the board.Style:The style is great. If you like the typical Penny Board look, then this board can’t do you wrong since it is a near copy. It has that 1970s skateboard look too if that’s what you’re looking for. The style makes it so I never feel goofy carrying or riding this board around campus. The Ride:The ride is super smooth. It feels great along most surfaces. The only surface I feel bumps on if when riding over bricks, but that is unavoidable. The control of the board is great. I loosened the trucks slightly to give it a little bit more mobility. It responds very well to my leans.Price:You aren’t going to get a better-quality board for this price, simple as that. Extremely affordable for what you get.The only negative about the ridge board is the stock bearings. They are not necessarily bad, but I switched to Reds and now roll significantly longer. I would recommend trying out the stock bearings, and if its not what you’re looking for then buy new ones. The stock bearings are not unusable, but not great either.Overall, this is a great board for a great price. I use it every single day and do not regret this purchase one bit. 5 stars.

High Quality Ride!
Rides super smooth, quality compared to a real penny brand board. I'd recommend buying the tool so you can loosen and tighten the bearings when needed. The perfect size for me 6'0 185

Best penny board (nickel board) replica out there. Super cheap!
Incredible board. Definitely worth every cent. The only flaw is that the tail is higher up than other nickel boards. And remember this is $40 and plastic. The only thing is it takes some wear on the edges. But it’s not bad. That’s gonna happens to any board wood or plastic. This is litterly the closest replica of a officially branded penny board (nickel board). I definitely recommend this board to anyone beginner or pro. Especially beginners! It’s a great starter board. Especially if you don’t wanna spend $160 on something you might not like or be able to do. Also one last thing is the bearings really aren’t that bad on this I mean there not reds bearings but still there pretty good.

Decent Board
So I got this board because my penny size board was messing up and I figured I might get bigger one. My smaller board was a fish brand and has lasted forever. This is a decent board and gets the job done and the bigger size is definitely a us for me. Now only negatives are the gloss black finish makes the board look cheap in my opinion. Also there a some what look like ridges, possibly from the injection molding that you can kinda feel on your feet but it's not too bad. I'm a college student so I didn't want to spend top dollar so this gets the job done for me

A truly amazing value for the quality of cruiser
I purchased the 22' Ridge board almost two years ago and it is still going strong (its a perfect portable cruiser for city and school transportation). However, its smaller size diminishes stability at higher speeds and rougher terrain, so I decided to purchase the larger 27' model and have noticed a far more stable riding experience against those elements. The board is far thicker and heavier than its smaller brother, and equipped with wider trucks. Given the abuse I've wrought on the 22' with little blemish, I expect the 27' to last a good while; the plastic is quite strong. My only complaint is that the bearings aren't all that great. Even upon loosening the nut, the wheels don't spin for long and there's some frictions in the ride. This was the same case with my 22'; fortunately, buying new bearings from a reputable brand (I recommend BONES REDS) fixes this problem, and provides a much faster and smoother ride.

Great beginner board for first timers!
I've never Skate boarded in my life. I am 32, and I had the sudden urge to learn. I searched through out numerous forums and websites looking for a great budget friendly beginner board. Truthfully many suggested I visit my local skate shop and I would be looking into paying somewhere between 100 - $250. Sorry but I took a chance on this. read the reviews, got it, and truthfully this is a really good beginner board. I had to tighten the bearings a bit so that I would have more balance (stiffness).

Ridge 27" Big Bro Retro "Zombie Apocalypse Escape Pod" (Green & Black)
I bought this for someone else. It appears to be the ideal quick-deploying mode of conveyance that I envisioned when I first saw it on-line. Solid construction, proven flexibility and durability, and a great price. It arrived with great expedition. I did have to tighten a couple of the truck attaching-point screws, but it seems otherwise to be sound. I don't have the knowledge to say much about the more technical aspects. The value seems very good, all things considered.

22" - looks 27" - Everything else that matters in skateboarding
my brother and i both ordered cruisers last week, he choose the 22" cruiser and i picked the 27" (which is more like a longboard/nickel board). we both came to the same conclusion after a couple of days of use that for looks definitely go for the smaller 22" but if you want practicality, speed, agility, balance.... and the list goes on.Basically if you're new and wanting to learn or a skater who just wants to cruise about then i can't express more that you want to go for the 27" skateboard.Just to add you will need to adjust the trucks, we thought they were fine but when i started picking up speed my board was uncontrollable so before you ride it make sure they are loose enough to turn but tight enough to avoid a sticky situation.

Dangerous and unsafe
I bought this skateboard as a replacement, for the skateboard I bought her in March 2017, she has had it for 6 months with hardly any use. The last time she took it out the metal shaft that attaches the wheels to the board broke. You would think being metal and it would be of a higher quality than this. I do not know if this is just one faulty item out of so many. There is not way of contacting this seller to ask for a replacement or to return this to them. Disappointed in this item

Awesome alternative to Penny
This board is fantastic and price is unbeatable for this quality. Love it, especially for those who enjoy the fun ride of a skateboard but not the tricking (prefer my bones intact!) AKA the Penny/Nickel market. Lovely smooth ride with soft wheels, sturdy yet flexible design and very attractive in black and lime. All sourced in the UK so feels good to be supporting British business and the economy. Overall it is a very competitive alternative to the overpriced in comaprison official Penny's.

Skateboard was in good condition, I purchased this for my cousin as I wanted to teach him how to skate during his school break. However, upon arrival the wheels were not spinning, so I had to replace all the bearings. I would have returned it, but I had already promised him a cruiser board. If I didn't know how to already change bearings and had spares, he would have been very upset.Disappointed by an otherwise good product at a nice price.

Looks Good so Far (Novice - 110kg)
Bought this to practice with, as I'm a total novice. While I can't comment on any performance nuance, I can say that it looks well constructed. In fact, I'm 110 kg and it seems easily strong enough for me. Glad I got 27" over 22", as it would have been too small. Just need to practice now.
