iSmartAlarm KP3G iOS/Android Smart Keypad, Black

Been waiting for ages for this to be available in the UK. Works well and easy to add to my existing system. However...I think the software needs a review. I don’t understand why I have to put in my PIN code to arm it? Also, I have to input my PIN prior to disarming the system - doesn’t seem logical as it’s not evident what mode the alarm is currently in...this could cause issues with those that have a silent countdown on their alarm.

I’ve owned an ISMARTALARM system for coming on to nearly 3 years. Being in the UK, we always seem to lag behind the US systems and there’s no pre-order process which is frustrating- but that’s a separate issue.I occasionally look on amazon to see if new ISMARTALARM products have landed and I’ve been waiting for a while for a keypad. The system was missing it, we had to leave the house disarmed for our dog walker etc as the remotes run out of battery far too quickly.In summary - the keypad is excellent. It looks nice and fits with the contemporary look of my home. It’s soft rubber keypad is easy to use and lights up on detection of motion so it can be easily used in the dark.ISMARTALARM have recently allowed you to edit which sensors are active in different modes. So for the home mode, I have changed this to be a mode for when our dog is in the kitchen and we are out, which is different from the normal home mode.The only thing I don’t understand is why you have to put in the password before an emergency activation - surely the point is to set it off quickly?In summary - it’s an excellent edition to anyone’s current system, well worth the buy!

I set up the keypad and all it did was say incorrect pin please try again. I changed the pin and even created a second pin to see if that worked but no joy.I had high hopes for this alarm system as the reviews are very positive but this experience has pushed me towards a more high end system.I might have a bad unit as other seem to have it working fine but I’ll be sending back ASAP.

Bit disappointed sometimes doesn’t recognise pin. battery ran out after 4 weeks . some times the voice doesn’t speak and the lighting on keypad can be a-bit off checked in to this online common problems. when it works it’s great I’d avoid untill kinks are sorted out

I had same problems as most people, occasionally did not recognise pin, eats batteries..and has com errors. I contacted manufacturer and they suggested faulty and to be returned. I did not bother when read others had same issue.On the upside .. when it works .. it’s a great addition and hugely useful.

Been waiting for this and wow. Item is really a premium product, just oozes quality. The way it mounts to the wall via a metal plate and magnets is really clever, also it has voice prompts and it has a sensor that lights the keyboard when movement is detected. I am really pleased, it makes the alarm almost now complete, just need an external sounder. Well done Ismart

My keyboard would not connect to the system. I have had no issues with any of the other equipment in the system and it is all working well apart from this item. I have spent a lot of time with tech support and they acknowledge it is a defective unit.
