Nice camera - a good improvement over the Hawkeye
The bigger sensor of the Owlsight definitely makes for better photos than the Hawkeye. I use these cameras for nature photography and they work great. They have been reliable, even with long cables (~1 meter).

Does NOT work with Raspberry Pi "Bookworm" on Pi4 or Pi5
This does NOT:"Plug-and-Play with libcamera: This Raspberry Pi camera native supports libcamera, effortless setup, and no config tweaks needed for instant use."I have spent about twenty hours since Saturday (it is now Wednesday evening) trying to get this to work with a new Pi5 and a Pi4 - following scattered and outdated directions on the manufacturing website, and getting incomplete and unworkable advice in the user forum and support groups. It's clear that some people got it to work late last year with an earlier version of Bookworm; but even downloading and setting up an archived OS version of Bookworm promptly runs into errors using the provided install scripts as they try to download and install packages. It's pretty clear that it is not *currently* possible to get one of these units to work. And I'm not the only person having such problems - there are several other people who have posted in the support groups with similar experiences.I will be returning it for a refund.

It works now!
So this camera DOES take really good high-res photos. Currently I have not found a way to do this at a rate faster than 1 pic every ~13 seconds with libcamera. Also, I have not found a way to write a python script that uses ‘picamera2’. This has been very disappointing, since I want to use this camera with a python script. Granted, I have tried the execute_command() from subprocess with marginal success, but that’s it.If this camera does have continuous auto focus, I have yet to find out how to enable it. Aside from the setup instructions and the libcamera documentation, help has yet to find me or I it.

Camera works great, nice high quality image
Don't be discouraged by the negative reviews on here, this is a good camera. Yes, it had some trouble at first and was difficult to use but that wasn't because of the camera. The libraries like libcamera, picamera2, RPiOS kernels, etc etc. would not support it. As of right now these cameras work right out of the box. All of the drivers, patches, and software fixes have been added to the latest version of all the libraries and OS images. So, if you just make sure you are installing the latest versions of the libraries and operating systems you should be fine. And if you have trouble Arducam's forum have been very helpful.

cable very difficult to work with
I am unable to plug the cable in the bus on the raspberry pi, partly me and my fingers but the ribbon cable is really soft and difficult to work with. I can't get the cable connected so can't use the camera

Good but annoying.
People weren't lying 😂 this is a pain to get working but beautiful when it does.Company needs to put out more comprehensive example code.

Not plug and play
Description says: Plug-and-Play with libcamera: This Raspberry Pi camera native supports libcamera, effortless setup, and no config tweaks needed for instant use. Arducam support says it requires a Bash script that did not work. After two days of exchanging emails with support the scripts finally loaded and libcamera still reports no cameras available. Requesting a refund.

All Pi Cameras Are Difficult To Configure
I was going to try this one (after trying two other Arducam cameras), but after reading these reviews, I've decided against it. These cameras are purported to be Plug-n-Play, but are an utter nightmare to configure. It's more like Plug-n-PRAY.
