I have purchased NUMEROUS multi-tools and this one is the best by far. Not only is it light enough to carry comfortably, it can also be carried in your pocket without a problem. I ended up purchasing the RAE Gear USA Leatherman Sheath because it is light and can be accessed within seconds. The Wave Plus did have the black coating on it which covered my hands upon handling it for the first time. I used Ballistol Oil & Cleaner on it and that did the trick right away. I love how the wire cutters can be replaced (I end up ruining them when cutting things like coat hangers and other things so it is a plus to replace them.) The ease of which you can flip out the knife, serrated knife, file, and the saw is awesome. The interchangeable screwdrivers both large and small are amazing. You have to read the manual to understand exactly how many functions this tool has. I will be selling my other multi-tools as this will be my primary from now on. Leatherman has outdone themselves with this tool!

I love this multi tool! It works great. Super smooth when you open each tool. Has a great tactical look/feel to it. Makes a great option for every day carry along with a small black tactical light and matching black Khar PM9 if you are licensed to carry. Blades are razor sharp. Has the perfect heft to it as well. If I don’t have it clipped in my pocket or in the leather holster on my belt it will definitely be in a place that I could grab it easily at any given time.

I have been using Leatherman products since 2000. They are the best, most reliable and dependable multi-tools available. Forget the others, get Leatherman products only.

Well what can you say about Leatherman.. with my experience theyre the best multi tool out on the market today. That being said there are a couple of minor issues I had with this particular model, there were some type of black film or coating on the tool and you would get some of it on your hand as you're handling it but wore off and is fine now. Also seems that the adjusting screws my need to be tightened because opens fairly easy, a little bit flimaier maybe than the original wave I bought years ago but other than that I have notice no differences. Just an overall great tool to have and definitely worth the money

This tool not only serves it purpose but it also looks amazing. Has an awesome design and color as well as very durable.

Just received my new wave plus and it is awesome. I had an older one that was silver and decided to get it in black with the crimper. The tool has everything I need for work all in 1!

There are several high-quality Leatherman competitors on the market and many styles of "Leatherman" tools. I wanted to stick with the original company, for its legendary quality and versatility.Bottom line: good quality, but I'm just left a bit disappointed with how un-refined this tool feels. It's *ridiculously* easy, for example, to catch your your skin between the handles near the joint, when closing the pliers. Some other knock-off tools have much smoother edges and are safer to operate. I just don't have that, "wow!, this thing feels great!" feeling. Can't bring myself to give 5 stars. I almost feel it's heresy to speak this way of Leatherman, but, "meh."
