Great for gum removal and a good value in general.
It works! I wasn't sure I was getting the right tool for the job (removing gum from concrete). Turns out that it's an excellent match for the work. For about $20, you get a long handle, 10 blades (one is already installed), a small scraper, gloves to change out the blades with, and a screwdriver. Assembly required, but everything you need comes in the box. There's no need at all for anything else.Gum that has any kind of raised surface comes off in seconds. Very old gum or gum that has been ground in so much that it's become part of the concrete is harder to get out, but any kind of lip or raised edge and it's gone.Something I didn't see in existing reviews-- each side (top/bottom) scrapes in its own way. If it doesn't come off with one side, try the other. The blade is held in place; it isn't loose. It's also somewhat angled, rather than straight on with the pole.

Cheap, lightweight and sturdy. Great for it's intended use.
Very effective in scraping paint and plaster off walls and floor after construction. A professional flooring guy working on my floors borrowed this because it was smaller and lighter for getting in corners.Mine came with a set of replacement blades and a pair of gloves. Wearing gloves is recommended for repeated use as with any long handled tool you use force with.Good for removing gum and sticky things from sidewalks. Also good for shaving off small branches and twigs from trees. Not for use on finished wood, polished floors, or any sort of linoleum, vinyl, or other soft tile. It WILL damage those surfaces. This tool is for light scraping, the blades are very sharp but brittle, they will break easily if you hit something hard like a nail or stone. Use it as intended and it will serve you well.

Well made. Bonus: Also it included a separate hand scraper.
I just received this, assembled it, and tested it.The pole is really sturdy and screws together so it is quite strong.A bonus. The set also came with a hand scraper. I thought i was going to have to unscrew the pole when I needed a short scraper. One caveat with the hand scraper is that it is 100% plastic and the blades are help in place with a push button clamp system. I haven't used it yet, but It looks like it will be useful for light duty use. No real complaint with this - I did not pay extra for it or even expect it at all.So the pole scraper looks very good so far and worked well in a 5 minute test.

Good but small
Tiny blade on end, but does a good job. Just know that the small blade will make a large job go slower.

Handy tool
I’ve removed quite a bit of flooring with this little tool and it works like a charm! Just make sure to seat your blades right or they will come out (no biggie — they go right back in).

Not worth the money
I can only give this item a single STAR. The razor blade will not stay in the holder and the entire item is not very sturdy. For me it was a complete waste of money. I had to pick one star or the system would not accept my review.

Way better than I expected
Ok, so a tenant spilled a quantity of nail polish onto a tile floor, then their dog crapped into the pile. Instead of cleaning it they threw some paper on top of it. The nailpolish, feces, and paper fossilized into a substance that would rival kevlar for strength. You could make a bullet proof vest from it except that it would be too disgusting. This is on the floor, of course and the mess was coming up in hunks. So I thought about something I saw 30 years ago. There was a man who worked in Grand Central Station, in NYC. His job was to scrape gum off the floor, and it was a full time job, he would go from one area to another, then start again. He had a broom pole with a scraper on it and a bag. I started to wonder if I could get something like that. Enter Amazon. This item arrived in a small cardboard box. I'm like, this is gonna be a failure, I wanted a stand up scraper. So out of this little box came pole sections. And when everything was assembled, we had a sturdy pole of reasonable length. The pole seems strong.Everything promised was in the box.So now it is polymerized mess vs. Razor scraper. So far the scraper is winning. Slowly.By the way, this is sharp. Do not run with this tool in hand.

Not made for dried mortar.
Not made for dried mortar. It only scrapes the surface without removing any of the mortar.
