The book is helpful somewhat but it isn’t the best print quality and hasn’t been proofread or printed well. It only has one type of calligraphy style so it’s quite limited if you want to try different types. Lots of room for practice though

This was not quite what I expected but that is probably because the sample views are rather limited. It does provide some useful information and quite a lot of practice room for you to develop. It did not provide the calligraphy styles I was hoping to see. Still 4 stars because its a good starting point for developing your basic skills.

This is a handy book in terms of picking up some basics and the lettering examples are explained well. It does say you can start with pencil, but it does encourage you to use pen. I picked up some brush pens to go with this and I've had to buy another standard paper pad to use them on. Poor paper quality so ink bleeds straight through to the other side, ruining the page behind the one you're writing on. You can use this with pencil and then move over to a separate pad but this shouldn't be necessary. I'd rather they use higher quality paper and charge more so that this was as useful as I hoped it would be

It arrived damaged. The lines on the sheets are extremely wide. It doesn't work for me.
