Maxibright Compact ballast's from UK manufacturer Maxigrow are built using high-quality Venture control gear. Sealed in resin, they have all of the features you have come to expect from a top end ballast including silent running, thermally protected ballast, Digital SMART ignitor and double earth insulation. Maxibright Compact ballast's are compatible with both HPS and Metal Halide lamps. The Coolshade grow light reflector is an air-tight, fully sealed clear glass tube with a lamp mounting bracket in its centre. It's perfect for removing the excess heat generated by HID grow lights without leaking unpleasant odours. Air is usually pulled (but can be pushed) over the lamp by adding an extractor fan to one side of the tube, the hot vented air is then expelled away from the grow room and plants. They're very effective, somewhere in the region of 70-80% of heat is removed, and are therefore very popular with indoor gardeners who have limited space to work with.
