This is a fixed-mount, AC-powered, 4 channel timer with reminder/warning available on each channel (so if you set a 10 minute timer, you can have a warning at 5 minutes to remind you to do a flip or something) ideal for a commercial kitchen to time fryer baskets or other repetitive cooking operations. It has a stainless steel exterior and looks like it will be fairly easy to keep clean.Assuming you have 4 things you need to time, using this is very easy once everything is set up. Push button 1-4 and that timer starts. When it reaches an interval (reminder or timer done) it will start beeping. Push the button again to move to the next stage or shut the alarm off.Setting up the timers isn't much harder. You can choose between hour and minute or minute and second modes for each channel, and program the time and reminders by using the increase and decrease buttons.Timer settings are remembered when the unit is unplugged and plugged back in, so you don't need to reprogram it after a power failure.Volume levels are appropriate for a noisy environment, meaning that even the lowest setting is going to sound very loud in a quiet environment. In my case my coffee shop kitchen isn't actually all that loud so this timer now has a bit of tape on the back to try and moderate the volume a little, even at the lowest setting. I don't know how many things I own that require me to be nearby to hear the alarm. This alarm can be heard if you happen to step away for a minute.I like the ability to set up to four timers, and it is pretty intuitive to use. I thought I would like that it plugged in, but I find I prefer the smaller footprint and moveability of a battery timer. And a smaller timer can go with me if I must leave the room.Altogether, this appears to be accurate and sturdy. I can certainly see how beneficial it could be to a busy kitchen - especially in a restaurant vs. a home kitchen.

This is most certainly commercial quality! It is very heavy, can hang or stand, and you can set up to four times are once. I like to make several pans of muffins, cookies, etc, at the same time, and prefer to stick each pan in as soon as I"m done putting the dough in/on it, so this is super handy for me. I can put a pan in, load the next and stick it in, even if the first pan isn't done, just setting one timer for each pan. Also, my oven does a single "ding" when the oen timer expires, and I may not be right there to hear it. You won't mis THIS one ringing for sure!

This kitchen timer seems like it belongs in a professional kitchen. It's a good size, enclosed in a steel chassis, and the buttons have a very satisfying clicking action. Being able to set multiple timers is also very convenient. Very happy with this.

this timer is definitely commercial grade. a bit overkill (and big) for a home kitchen. but if you have nice stainless kitchen appliances, this unit will fit in and make you look like a pro chef. it has more functions than you will ever need for a home chef.
