13 FISHING - Defy Black - Baitcast Fishing Rods

I have owned multiple rods Abu Garcia, quantum Shimano ugly stick by far. These are the best feel performance and price point. I can’t wait to order another one before they raise their prices. I don’t think they realize what they have awesome reels too. They compare with a Shimano Corrado‘s And the quantum smoke x cast just as far awesome products.

The rod is very nice. A little different then the pictures, as the foam grips are grey and not black. Dosent look bad, just a little different then pictures show.Besides that, I am very pleased with the rod. All the eyelets are strait and in nice shape. The bottom part of fhe rod has a finish on it, but the rest of the rod feels like its ribbed. There was no flaws in the finish, the reel seat is nice. I am overall very happy I got the pole, especially since it was on sale!Will report back if there is any issue, but I'm not expecting any. Can't wait to try it out!

Came packaged really well even with a damaged box the rod was fine. Quality seems great visually and can't wait to try it out. I'll update the review if there are any issues once using.

I fish two to three times a week on my boat during the spring and summer. I have purchased many rods over the years, this product is well with trying it out.Highly recommend this product.

The rod is fantastic! Awesome action. Absolutely love it. I have the spinning rod also. But the biggest problem is you can only run one line on it. No tippets or leaders on braid. The eyelets are sooooooo tiny that a tippet knot grabs as it goes through. If you were only going to do a 2-3 foot leader maybe.... but if your knot is running in and out of the eyelets it casts terrible. So if you run straight mono or floro you're good. The second thing is the hook catch. It's behind the reel. It's exactly where you hold the rod with your hand or put the rod in a rod holder. It's the stupidest thing I've ever seen... so I hook my lures on the eyelet frame. Which I hate doing. But for the price.... man it's a nice rod.

Best rods in this price range by far. Works great for deep diving cranks and handles big bass with ease.

I do like this rod for cranking, it’s pretty solid and gives enough strength to pull in crank baits. I will say however the tip of the Rod was broken when I received it so I had to buy some replacement tips.

The Defy rod is definitely a budget piece but it stands up. I used the Medium heavy this last week exclusively for jigs and tx-rigs and it was a champ. The only thing i found annoying is the baitkeeper placement. But thats a storage issue and not something that impedes function. Good piece to keep in the boat when my higher end rods get broken.
