Yes it can its more than rated for the job. But why not use a standard light switch? You must make sure the circuit is wired to activate the indicator correctly.

This switch is rated at 20 amp, normally lighting circuits require only 5 amp switches, it is also double pole in other words it switches the neutral as well which is unnecessary for switching domestic lighting circuits. What you require is is a single pole 5 amp switch.

No, this is not suitable because it is not fused. You require a fused switched spur.

The short answer is no it can't be wired as a two way as it's a double pole switch and no the neon will not work as it needs a neutral wire to make it work. The problem on the listing is the first person to list the item used what is know a 'key word spamming' and stuck in all the words they thought would sell the item. We've tried a number of time to get this and other badly worded BG listings altered but Amazon refuse to do it.
