I am blown away by the quality of this book. I genuiniely wasn't expecting it to be this nice, despite the price tag. I bind books for fun sometimes, so I can tell you with confidence that this journal is *very* well made. The signatures appear to be hand sewn, the binding is tight and secure, and the endpapers are flawlessly applied. The paper quality is great. It is soft, but not too soft to easily write on, as you sometimes find. It won't bleed, and it can be used for painting. I am so pleased with this! It's impeccable.It smells terrible. I suspect it was put in the package before the glue had time to air out. I'm sure it'll dissipate with time. You could use baking soda or coffee beans if you really wanted to, but I think it just needs to breathe for a while.Overall, I would absolutely recommend this book. If you are buying this for your Grimoire/BoS, it is definitely sturdy and well made enough to stand the test of time and be used for many years. If I ever have the need, I will buy another one without hesitation (if it's still available).

The media could not be loaded.  I thought the quality was great as soon as I opened it. Like most other reviews, it does have a funny smell, but once it airs out for a day or two it's fine. I have been airing mine out. I opened the center of the book/pages and I can't smell anymore. 5 hours)I got the 13x8 biggest size. So far so good but it was a gift. We will see how it reacts to water color paint. Thanks for reading.

The paper is soft. The cover is so cool, and the spine is beautiful and feels so nice. I loved this, and was so happy with it.

It has an old classic look and the paper has a great weight to it.

I only gave it 4 stars because it had very weird smell. It was a bit challenging to get ride of it

I absolutely love this new journal. It’s thicker pages, leather spine and edges, and medieval feel to it have me over the moon! Super happy with this purchase and will definitely be buying another when the time comes. Also liked the card showing who made the journal since it’s handmade ❤️

I bought this to use in a life course for affirmative mantras and art. It took Gesso very well, the pages will not allow any heavy work such as repeated blending, I wrote with a script pen with a very delicate nib and it worked beautifully! I really love this book. I will say at first there’s an oder that does dissipate over time,I think it’s the glue on the cover and not the paper itself.
